The Original Bad Wolf {Doctor Who/Vampire Diaries}

Prologue

Finn and Kol snuck up and sat next to a sobbing Niklaus in the middle of the woods where she had ran and stopped in front of a dead body. Finn had stopped, recognizing the body. "Mikael's not my father," she mumbled, sensing them.

"We figured that from your shift," Kol said quietly.

"I think that's him," Nik whispered, looking at the dead body.

"I think it is too," Finn spoke quietly making his younger siblings look at him, "I've seen Esther arguing with him over a daughter. I'm sorry Niklaus, if I had known it was your father, I would have told you, but know that he was fighting to see you," Finn told her.

"You called her Esther," Kol pointed out.

"She cursed our sister supposedly out of fear of Mikael, but it was to cover her infidelity by taking her wolf away. Then again, she also took our magic and clearly she had that planned out because she had gathered blood from us," Finn said.

"It'll get better," an older voice with an odd accent said.

The siblings' heads all snapped in the direction of the voice to see an older man oddly dressed in all black standing a distance away from them with a big blue box standing behind him.

"Who are you?" Finn growled out protectively, moving to cover his brother and sister. Kol partly moved himself in front of his sister.

"I'm someone who will one day be close to you, all three of you,," the man answered vaguely.

"Why didn't you help me?" Niklaus asked quietly, she was still curling herself up.

Finn and Kol noticed his gaze had softened, "I am what would be one day called a time traveler. I'm sure you can hear I'm not exactly a human?" he paused letting them listen, once he saw the wide eyes after hearing his two hearts, "I can travel to different times in history, to new places outside of this planet—"

"Planet?" Kol questioned.

"We are on a planet called Earth, this whole place, everywhere outside of Norway, it's all Earth. There's other planets with other species that aren't humans, werewolves, or witches, or vampires—you guys. I am from a different planet, one that watches the time and make sure history passes as it should. Unfortunately you three were supposed to be cursed or else history would've been changed severely," the man explained.

"How do we know you're not lying?" Finn asked.

"He's not," Nik spoke up quietly, "You're my mate. I saw how you sad you looked and how you wanted to move but you couldn't, but that small time I had with my wolf, I know it's you."

"We would talk to the wolves. That's how she knows how it feels," Kol told Finn.

"Yes, I am your mate, just like you're my bonded. I am also sorry to say that it will be a long time before can take you with me or for yours and your brothers curses to be broken," the man told them.

"What do you know about it?" Kol asked.

"I know that Elijah Mikaelson is the one that will lead you to a doppelganger of Tatia, that one will escape but she had a child out of wedlock that got sent away. Her family will have to be killed because of the impact that family will have on history. In a thousand years Elijah will lead you to a new doppelganger who will the one to break your curses," the man explained.

"We have to wait a thousand years?" the three asked in unison.

"Again, unfortunately."
