Chapter 7: Haeri

[ Jungkook's POV ]

The next day, I opened my eyes in the morning sunlight. I had a glance on the digital clock of my phone that shows 6 AM. This is a new day, I'm getting ready for school, put on the uniform I laid out last night and hurried out the door. By myself, I hum along to the song I like to listen everyday. I don't know, I'm loving ballads! [>] Just Stay.

Alone, I walk in between these familiar buildings that I used to see each day. It's too early so I walk my way to school. Monday, Tuesday, everyday, I get by and I am well. I meet up with my friends, including Zelo. These days, I discovered a lot of things that make me laugh and smile. Summer, winter, spring and fall. Time goes so fast and I love it.

[ Jin's POV ]

One time, I caught Jungkook in the road, walking. I'm doing the same because our driver had his day-off for his birthday.

"Hey", I tapped his back. "What are you humming?" I got his earphones and... what? Just Stay? A ballad? I thought he had moved on, the song title says it all. Why is he happy? I just ignored him, he's feeling the song. I don't want to ruin that mood. At least, there is an improvement on him. I think he's eventually getting used to life without Seorin. Neither no one of us Opens a topic about it. We're slowly going back to our life wherein it's boys only, our life back then. I think this is how we suppose to live if ever Seorin did not enter this school. She changed everything since the first day that we encountered her. Finding ways on how to be close to her and then we succeeded. After some weeks, she is nowhere to be found. Abducted by an alien, maybe? We even underwent some childish acts and plans just for her and for our friend. Our friendship almost sank because of the tension between us and I hate that. So let him instead and gave my utmost support. That's why I agreed to pull Seorin to that place and act like a weirdo, to pretend that I didn't hear her. It's quite hard because again, it's very tempting and she's absent for a few days.

[ Jungkook's POV ]

I was perfectly fine as I walk into this coffee shop. It is still the same. Nothing changed -- the clean and couched chairs, long and round tables, the shiny floor, the high ceiling and the tranquil counter. I chose a seat to wait for that girl? Where is she? She told me that I must be here at three! Oh, demanding. Look, it's now 3:01 and she's not even here. What's her problem?

"Caramel macchiato."

"Thank you, Berry much!"

"All for you, Straw."

I looked at my side and it's Zelo with someone and being served by Himchan.

"Hi, dude."

"I'm waiting for someone, just don't mind me."

Nah. I'm used to that caramel scent especially that this coffee shop is famous for that.

Okay, I confess, I can smell that caramel scent and I can't still forget you, Seorin. Our memories still remain even though you had left.

*flashback*

"Now, tell me, who's that guy?"

"That one on the door who's with me when I arrived?"

"He's Zelo. He helped me carry these things and we just met on the street. A gentleman indeed."

"Jin's still not here. No caramel macchiato for you."

"Ugh, no one's gonna treat me a caramel macchiato now."

"Okay, my treat now, Seorin."

"Really? Thank you, Kookie!"
