Chapter 10: New Beginnings

[Seorin's POV]

Evening has came and I fixed my bag for school for the necessary requirements. This would be the real schooling now.

"Seorin? Are you ready for your first ever day of school?" Eomma asked me in great delight.

"Uhmmm. I think." I don't know, I am not that excited. It's kind of weird feeling. I'm not nervous either. I don't know.

"I can't come because I'm busy preparing for tomorrow. But who wants to be late in the first day?"

"We'll go together, right? So, if classes start at eight, then we can leave here as early as seven o'clock." Nikki is on the phone right now too.

"Yeah. See you tomorrow! I hope we will be classmates then. I heard there are only three sections in senior year."

We said our good nights after. It's 9 PM and I felt sleepy. I suddenly felt excited seeing everything's ready from my bag to my uniform. It looks so far from what I have seen on animé. The skirt is about two inches below the knee but it's just fine. It has short sleeves and a tie. I have to wear black leather shoes also with white socks.

"I can't sleep."

"I'm used to sleep at 2AM, because you know, my summer schedule is from one until four PM."

"Help me. Eotteokke?"

"I need to get up at five."

"Oh, sorry. I just read these messages now. Btw, good morning!" It's 5:30 AM and I'll be taking a bath now.

"I didn't sleep instead."

"Huh? Why?"

"I might not get up in time."

"Ohhh. I see." Tsktsk.

"I got eyebags."

"Hahaha. I'll take a bath first, hmmm? See you later!"

"I hope we'll be classmates."

Woah. Arnie replies so fast, I won't reply anymore.

[ Nikki's POV ]

"Nikki~! Let's go to school now!"

When we arrived at school, it looks like there are already a lot of students. It seems that they don't want

to be late for today, too. "Whoaaaaa."

I pulled her towards the crowd. "Where are we going? I'm waiting for Arnie too."

"We'll just check our respective classrooms to find out if we're classmates or not."

"That's cool."

She is the one who jumped through the list and said, "No, Seorin. We're not."

"Are you joking?"

"No. I'm serious."

"Waeee? We enrolled together." It's life. Whew."

"Oh, we'll. We can still see each other on recess and lunch time. And maybe you can find friends there too. Just be friendly."

"I'm not prepared for this, Nikki."

"You are. Be confident, it won't kill you."

This is Seorin's second first day of school for this year. Am I the only one realizing it? The last time she

told me that she was very very shy and I can't do nothing but to encourage her through my words and

now, still. We are in the same school but not in the same rooms.
