11. Omni

"Will you stop sulking now?" Sarth asked Mihit as he filed with the game controller.

"Why do I have to be the representative of the damn project?" Mihit complained.

Their company, TechNova had developed a game, Dreammare, which had been a hit globally. Now the company plans to launch a full franchise of the Dreammare characters and make it in an e-sports.

"Because you are the chief developer of the game, Damn it." Sarth snickered.

Their company was taken over by a big conglomerate, Omni not long ago. The higher-ups of Omni decided to convert Dreammare into an e-sports.

"You are not alone, buddy. I am coming with you too." Bern was the animator of the game and a part of the team that created Dreammare. 

"I don't understand what the fuss is all about. It's not like you haven't done any presentations before." Sarth asked in confusion. Everyone seemed to be hesitant to be the ones in charge of the project.

"It isn't about the presentation, Phi. It's just that the person in front of whom we would be presenting is not Khun Jorn. It is his son!" Bern explained.

Sarth's confusion only deepened. "Isn't that even better? I heard Khun Jorn is really picky and hard to please. If it's his son, I think that the luck is on our side."

"No, P' Sa. You have no idea. Khun Jorn is nothing in front of his son. It is said that his son is the real incarnation of the devil. All the employees are terrified about him." Bern said with a sigh.

"I think that is an exaggeration." Sarth wasn't the kind of person who formed a prejudice a person he is yet to meet just based on some rumors.

"I hope it is," Mihit said, picking up his bag.

"Are you guys ready?" Fon, the team leader of the project asked standing at the door.

"Yes" The employees who were selected to be in the team answered unenthusiastically.

"Come on, guys cheer up." Fon tried to hype her teammates.

"Khrab/ Kha" the team members mumbled as they made their way to the gathering.

"All the best, guys" Sarth cheered from behind as he waved them goodbye.

The team mounted their car and headed to the Headquarters of Omni which was not that far from their office.

As they entered the office building of Omni, they were awestruck. The place looked more like a mall than an office.

"Welcome to Omni. How may I help you?" The receptionist asked with a sweet smile.

"We are the team from TechNova. We had an appointment with the Vice president." Fon answered the receptionist.

The receptionist looked at the list in her and gestured at the woman standing next to her.

"Please follow me." The woman said with a professional smile.

The team followed her to the elevator. The elevator was transparent and they could see the view outside.

The elevator stopped and they all got off on the thirty first floor. 

"Wow, this place is so cool!" Bern muttered as his eyes wandered around looking at the facilities in awe.

"Yeah. It must be fun working her." One of their teammates said.

But Mihit rolled his eyes. He felt that such facilities aren't really needed in a workspace and that it would only lessen the concentration level of the employees. However, he didn't voice his opinion out and kept his thoughts to himself.
