Chrono x Tokoha : The Challenges

Turn 5: Part Time

Chrono: "But, everyone has left but you're still here... shouldn't you let your parents waiting?"

Tokoha: "It's fine, if you're still here then I'll be here as well."

Chrono: "Eh?"

She doesn't know why those words came out of her mouth. She then needs to find a way to save herself from embarassment...

Tokoha: (Blushes) "I-I mean... you look lonely these days, t-that's why..."

And she's stuttering as well. Chrono just looking at her with his confused face...

Tokoha: "And also, this is your first day working at Card Capital right?

Chrono: "Y-Yeah.. you're right... but, what does it have to do with you wanting to stay here with me?"

There's no way of saving it now, she has to tell him the truth now...

Tokoha: (Sigh) "Well, it's just... I don't want you to feel alone..."

Chrono: "Huh?"

Tokoha: "There's a reason why you went here right? You said that you want some fresh air but I'm sure there's something else. I'm worried about you, if there's any problem you can talk to me you know?"

Chrono: "It's... a bit complicated. I can't tell you the whole thing but... yeah, you're right about me being a bit lonely these days. It's not your fault though, it's my own fault that I'm trying to distanced myself away from you."

Tokoha: "But why? Did I do something wrong that you're trying to distanced yourself from me?

Chrono: "Like I said, it's not your fault. I'm just being selfish I guess..."

Tokoha: "Is it... because of my decision to go to Paris?"

He just fell silent, he doesn't know how to answer that question. He can just say that he likes her and he wanted her to always be by her side but that's too much and that will be so selfish of him...

Tokoha: "Chrono, if it's because of that then I just hope one day you can understand."

Chrono: (Raising his voice) "I do understand! It's just... (sigh) you really can't control the sadness in your heart."

Tokoha: Chrono...

She was surprised when he raised his voice a bit.

Chrono: "It doesn't matter if I understand because I already said it that I fully understand your decision, but at the same time you can't control your true emotion. I can't lie even to myself if I'm sad..."

He realized that he raised his voice a bit towards her...

Chrono: (Sigh) "Sorry... this is one of the reason why I try to distanced myself away from you. I don't want to say something stupid and letting you see this foolish and coward side of me. I'm afraid that you'll be worried and starting to regret your decision because of this."

Tokoha: "I..."

Chrono: "Tokoha, to me you're more than just a friend. You're one of my teammate who's always there to rallied me and Shion all the way to the top. Other than that, you really have helped me a lot over the past few years. You really made me learned a lot of new things in life as well. You're... really that special in my eyes."

Tokoha: "Eh?"

She blushed a little bit after hearing those words coming out of his mouth, Chrono is not the type of guy to say something like that...

Chrono: "Once again, I'm sorry... maybe I'm just a little brat afterall. I guess I'll get going now, you better go as well since I'm sure your parents are waiting for you." (Stand up)
