Vincent's POV
Today was the day I would finally meet with Gojo Satoru—the man who had arranged this meeting with my help through Tom. Well, at least he gave me a gift in return, which meant he was serious about the business at hand. This meeting would take place in my Auction House. Tom had mentioned that Gojo was a tall man with white hair and bright blue eyes. He said Gojo would be wearing a purple suit.
Now, I'll admit, purple isn't a color I associate with professionalism, but then again, who am I to judge someone else's fashion sense?
There was a knock at the door, and my thoughts were interrupted. I stood up, walking to the entrance, half-expecting to find the man I had been waiting for. I opened the door to find a tall, white-haired man standing there, just as Tom had described. His bright blue eyes looked like the sky itself, intense and clear. He had a presence that made me feel as if I were staring into the horizon, where the land met the sky.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Vincent," he said with a cool, confident tone.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Gojo," I responded.
"No need to call me Mr.," Gojo said, waving a hand dismissively. "Gojo is fine."
I raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Okay, Gojo. What brings you to this meeting?"
"Well, Mr. Vincent, I would like to ask you for a favor, and I will make sure to repay you for it if you accept," Gojo said, his voice casual but serious.
"Alright, what kind of offer are we talking about?" I asked, leaning forward in my chair, ready to hear him out.
"To be honest," Gojo began, "I'm looking to acquire a restaurant building license. But I want you to get it for me. It would be easier because of your connections and your social standing. People don't really know me yet, so I need someone who can get things done discreetly. In exchange, I'll give you another sword—one better than the one Tom got for you earlier. The one I've just acquired is... quite valuable."
I was quiet for a moment, thinking over his offer. "A restaurant license for a sword, you say? That's a fair deal, Gojo. Do you have the sword with you now?"
Gojo reached into his jacket, pulling out a sleek, beautifully crafted sword. The blade gleamed in the light, and I could tell it was of a higher quality than any weapon I had ever seen. The craftsmanship was exquisite. I took the sword and nodded in appreciation.
"Great," I said. "I'll get that license for you immediately. Just a moment." I quickly called the License Department and arranged everything.
"The license will be here in five minutes. You just have to wait," I informed Gojo.
He smiled and nodded. "Much appreciated, Mr. Vincent. Or should I say, Vincent?" He chuckled lightly.
Gojo's POV
The whole deal went smoother than I expected. I had received the license and a new sword, all within a matter of minutes. The sword was forged in record time, and thanks to my previous experience as a programmer, I was able to easily program mana into it to achieve a special effect. Now, all that was left was to head back to the hideout and begin construction on the restaurant.
With the restaurant business finally in my hands, I felt like I was one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a true businessman. In the past, I had been an adventurer, constantly seeking power and influence. But now, the restaurant was my new project, and it would allow me to make connections and build a solid foundation for the future.
I could already see the potential in this endeavor. The restaurant would be the perfect front for all the other things I had planned.
