the beginning after the end perfect duo

CHAPTER 23

We stood downstairs for a few minutes , waiting for the twin horns .

It's been a while since the last time we have ever met them , specially for Arthur.

Those were especially tense moments for me , since the Twin horns aid is necessary for our mission and we still need to figure out  about Lilia joining us .

I turned towards my brother's direction , he was also as tense as I was , so I tried to reduce the pressure in that moment .

"Are you excited to see the twin horns again ?" I asked him.

"Of course I am , it's been a while all ready , and I want to see how much they have changed " Arthur answered positively.

"Who are these guys any way ?" Lilia who was eavesdropping on us asked.

"Seriously you don't remember them Lilia" I asked sarcastically .

"Not really" said Lilia scratching her head .

"Remember those guys from my birthday party , the ones you said were weird " I answered.

"They came to your birthday, you didn't mention it previously" Arthur asked.

"I think I forgot to, my bad " I spoke.

We could hear someone knocking on the door fiercely .

The maids opened the door for us, 

And a red head showed up first, 

My father hugged Adam in the most manly manner you could imagine .

Angela ran towards us and took us in a tight hug, against her huge breast, we were of course embarrassed.

Helen, Angela and Durden shook hands with The Helsteas and mom.

Adam also did the same after breaking the hug with the old man.

"Angela they're suffocating" Mom shouted.

"Sorry Alice , I didn't notice , it's just that I have missed them" she said

"I have missed you all, specially you " Angela added signaling towards Arthur.

Angela hugged mom as well,

We also said hey to everyone.

 Then it was time to get in the cart, so we don't get late.

Lilia seemed oddly silent in front of this amount of people that she doesn't know.

"So what are you been up to lately ?" My father asked.

"On our last mission, we were accompanying some merchant on his way in Sapin , making sure his trip ends safely, and we got quite rich from it to be honest" Helen said.

"We're off missions for a while so we can stay here around if you guys want to" Adam added.

"Of course we would want to" said mom.

"You could help around in the Auction house" said my father.

"We can discuss this later, the most important thing right know is that one over there" said Helen also signaling towards Arthur again.

Guess that's the attention you get for being an mc.

"How did you survive that fall ?" Jasmine asked him.

"I kind of manipulated mana while being unconscious to smooth out the landing" and then Arthur delved in a long conversation about what happened , leaving out the secret parts behind.

While I listened to him, same did Lilia, Mother and Father, and the Helsteas.

Until we arrived to the Auction place, and it's just the afternoon at this point.
