"Your majesty," said the guards, covering the royal family with their bodies and armors.
"Identify yourselves," they shouted, putting their weapons between us and them.
A very tense atmosphere covered the room.
Lilia got afraid; I can tell by the way she's grabbing my arm right now.
Arthur and I were getting tense as well; this isn't the sort of first impression I wanted.
After a few minutes of hesitation, I was about to speak, but someone did before me.
Someone who I didn't want to get worried at all tonight.
"Those are our kids; they were in the toilet," said Mom and Tabitha in unison.
After a few minutes of clarification and settlement, we were all sitting on a couch together, the adults watching the auction and the pieces getting sold, and the young ones being bored by the scene so far.
What would they like about auctioning anyway?
"Sorry for the misunderstanding," said the king towards the mothers.
"It was just all of a sudden," he added.
"It's fine, we understand," they both said again.
"Can we go to play together, Mom?" I asked with a cute voice.
One which I won't replicate again, hopefully.
"Yes, please, Mom. Aunt Alice, this is boring," added Lilia.
I could feel the hesitation growing in both of them, because we might just get into more trouble at this point, and that's why I needed backup from someone with more authority.
And that's why I glanced in the prince's direction. He, of course, didn't like me because I am some commoner to him, but he himself can't disagree that this is boring.
"Understood," he nodded back in agreement.
"Please, Father, this place is boring. We want to go and play together," Prince Curtis said.
"All right, kids, you can go," the king said.
"It will be a great chance for you to get to know each other too," the queen said.
"That's really a great idea," Tabitha said.
Mom just nodded to this since she simply had no other option.
So we all got up and went to "play," which wasn't really the case, because the girls went to play with the cute Sylvie, while we boys had other stuff in mind.
"I only helped because I was bored, not because I like you or want to be your friend or something, is that understood?" he asked.
"Sure," I nodded.
While Arthur didn't even speak to him.
He instead got closer to me and asked with a tense face.
"What are you exactly after?" whispering in my ear.
"Nothing, I just didn't want to stay there because that was boring," I said.
He, of course, didn't believe me.
"Okay," was all he said.
Sorry man, I just can't tell you anything.
I just walked around till I found that dude who will try to do something stupid in this place, and there he is.
He was walking towards Little Sylvie, still trying to get her.
The head of the royal guards, I think.
"Can you show me some magic? Please?" I asked the man, sounding as childish as possible.
"No brat, I am not a clown to do magic tricks for kids. Get out of my way," he said, touching my shoulder and trying to get me out of the way, and in that single second while no one was watching, I teleported back to my lab, and to a specific room, which I designed, where no magic was allowed.
I used my clones to replace the missing pair in the room; now all I have to do is to extract whatever information I want and to spy on the country itself with my clone. Pretty good plan if you ask me.
"What the hell happened? Where are we? What did you do, kid? Answer me!" he started shouting like some crazy dog.
I pressed a button on the wall next to me; it was the only big red button there.
The room was pure white, with nothing inside but some chains, a locked-up man, a big red button, and an innocent kid.
"You think you can tie me here, huh? You never saw my magic, you don't know how powerful it is. I will show you what it feels like to get beaten up by the royal guards," he started laughing maniacally.
"Show me," I said.
"Why can't I use my magic?" he said.
I left the room and got back to the castle. Nothing changed; in fact, everyone was still watching the auction, the kids playing or sitting or doing whatever they wanted, and my father and Vincent finally arrived.
"Did you do it?"
"Did what? I was here the whole time, man," I said to my dear brother who had sneaked up on me.
"That was your clone there. I am your twin; I can tell when it's you and when it's not, brother."
"All right, that was my clone there. I admit it. But what do you mean by I did it? Did what?" I asked nervously.
"Your objective here. The reason why you left Mom and went on your own."
I wasn't sure whether to answer or not, but when I was going to, he simply said,
"No need."
And it went just fine. Vincent kept talking with the king, and everything went good. The twin horns were busier than I thought, so we didn't have the chance to tell them anything at all.
But they are going to stay with us for a few weeks, until our birthday basically.
So we gathered around, Arthur, Lilia, and me, the next morning.
"Well, we need to become adventurers, but our parents are not going to let us go because it's not safe," I said.
"Yeah, Alice would probably do that," Adam said.
"But why do you want to be adventurers?" Helen asked.
"We want to get even stronger before school, and that's one way to do it, because we will acquire experience, which is very valuable."
"Okay, I understand you."
"But what do we have to offer?" Helen asked.
"Security," Arthur said.
"We want one of you to go with us for around two years on our missions to make Mom forced to accept," I said.
"Good plan you've got up your sleeve," Helen said.
"Now who's going to accompany you?"
