"Winter is coming."
- Ned Stark, Game of Thrones
News spread in the underground of the boy who'll save them. The one who can change into a titan and block the wall Rose with a boulder, keeping the titans at bay.
Curiouser and curiouser, Adira read the crumpled newspaper in her hand, something that flew from the surface. It was a poor drawing of a boy and what his titan looked like. Apparently, there would be a hearing on this, whether he would join the scouts or the military regiment and anyone could watch.
She wanted to know the outcome of this boy's special case and so she decided to watch the hearing. Putting on her full tight black outfit and latched on the different belts that wrapped her body for her different daggers, she finished off her look with black, knee-high boots, and a black cape that covered her entire body and also that came with a hood to cover her white hair from the people, afraid to get recognized once she leaves the comforts of her old and used house.
Bringing a large amount of money for the chance to leave the underground with its unreasonable pay, she gave it to the man watching over the staircase, not once lifting her head up that stayed tilted to the ground, her black boots and the ground the only thing in her view.
Finally reaching the surface, her heart continues to thump loudly in her chest, it's been 5 years since she's been on the surface and wall Sina hasn't changed by a lot. Her feet seemed to move on their own, already familiar with the entire map of wall Sina, after all she's lived here for most her life.
As soon as she arrived by the courthouse, it was filled by people who also wanted to watch the boy's demise. Entering the building with stoned floors, the heels of her boots clicked on the surface, that being the only sound in the empty halls with consecutive brown, wooden doors.
Her hands touched the walls as she walked up the stairs to see the view from above. Once she found a door of the courtroom, she entered it quietly, and just in time, a man spoke from the side. "You've got a big mouth on you, pig." An amused smile left her lips with every vulgar words the man said, offending the person he was talking to and those who were listening, But to Adira, what he said was right. Every single thing he mentioned was also something she experienced first hand, she used to live in nobility after all.
She stayed behind the people so as not to catch attention from them and watched as the boy in the middle, chained to the post, spoke up. His words that continuously spilled from his mouth, impressing her more and more, despite how stupid it was. Then, there it was, silence. Silence because no one knew how to respond. She smirked and crossed her arms, leaning on the wall. 'Such courage and anger. I don't know what the world would turn out to be if he were in the hands of the military.' She thought.
Silence was then broken with chaos. People were afraid, and they didn't know what to do but wanted to kill someone that was out of the ordinary. It was basic human instinct, after all. A command was given from the military police to aim the gun towards the boy, and the person who spoke vulgar words a while ago suddenly came from the barricade and kicked the boy right in the face. Pained grunts reached her ears as her mouth slightly separated in surprise.
