"Teasing is the language of affection, spoken by those who know each other best and care the most."

Adira woke up with the smell of black tea, it was still early in the morning with no sign of the sun coming out any time soon yet, she noted while looking out the small window. However, taking a good look at her surroundings, she was rather confused at the unfamiliar room she was in. "You're awake. Tea?" She heard while still trying to take in the new environment she was in.

Blinking away the tiredness, her eyes made their way to the man reading some paperwork while drinking his tea. Now that she wasn't half awake, she remembered what happened the night before and what brought her here, she wouldn't admit it but she was internally shocked at herself for easily falling asleep while there was a man in the room.

She had to learn that the hard way, despite how much you trust a man, you should never sleep when you're alone in a room with one. "Yeah, tea sounds nice." A small smile graced upon her lips seeing that she wasn't alone. "Did we..." A small part of her still doubted him, even if she knew deep down in her heart that nothing happened and he didn't do anything. Her past traumas and experience still made her who she was now and she felt vulnerable just at the memory of it.

"Whatever you're thinking, nothing happened. All I did was cover you with the thin blanket I had and went back to do the shit ton of paperwork Erwin gave me." There was a warm feeling that blossomed in her chest from the reassurance she was given, slowly placing more trust in the man she met just weeks ago.

She left the bed and neatly folded the blanket, making her way out of the room. "Where are you going?" Levi was still preparing the tea when he looked back to find Adira halfway out of the door already. "I'm just going to freshen up, tea tastes best when I'm refreshed."

"Tea also tastes best while hot. Make it quick." Nodding her head, she closed the door behind her and went back to her room to wash her face and brush her teeth, cleaning her tongue to taste the black tea prepared for her better.

After doing so, Adira went back to his room without bothering to knock and noticed the tea set on his table. She sat on the vacant chair in front of his table with Levi pouring her the newly brewed tea in her teacup, pouring one more for himself. She gratefully accepted the teacup, the smell of black tea and its steam wafted through her nose.

Taking a sip of the tea, she let the distinctly dark and malty flavor linger in her tongue. "Don't you usually have tea with the squad?" She pondered while Levi's eyes stayed on the paperwork. "No one is awake at this time."

There was no clock in his room that ticked within the stoney walls so she had no sense of time. As if he felt her confusion, "It's 3 in the morning." Ah. So she only slept for around 5 hours, it was progress.
