The dance was only a few hours away as Hazel laid on her hotel bed with rollers in.
She kept thinking about last Friday.
She was starting to realize that she had feelings for Garrett.
She didn't know much about him but it felt like she knew everything.
They haven't known each other long but it felt like they have known each other forever.
It was the love she saw in Disney movies and the kind of love that doesn't exist but looking at him made it all seem like a reality.
She looked at her dress that was hanging up on the closet.
It was a simple dress with a tight heartline bodice with a flowy skirt with a slit on the side.
She didn't want to have a spotlight on her as this dance was for the students.
She was planning to sit at a table and read the journal Mason gifted her.
Hazel got up and walked to the bathroom to do her makeup.
She looked in the mirror as she applied her basic makeup with more glittery eyeshadow.
Hazel then walked back out to her room before taking off the sweater and leggings she had on before and her black lacey bra.
She put on some tights before slipping into the dress.
The minute she zipped up the dress she felt the oxygen being pushed out of her lungs.
She looked at herself in the full-body mirror before adjusting the dress to be more suitable for a school dance.
She then took out her rollers as she went back and forth putting on and taking off different things until she was ready.
Hazel then grabbed her phone and put it inside a small with her hotel key and classroom key so she could place it on her desk so she didn't lose what was inside.
She then called a taxi before walking out of the hotel with many men looking at her in awe as she just looked forward or down.
She then waited for her taxi before going to the school.
She stayed silent as the taxi drove up to the school.
She paid the driver before getting out of the car as the moonlight illuminated her.
She then walked into the school and she saw many students walking in.
Some looked amazing and others looked questionable which made her smile.
She walked into the gym as everyone walked in as the band set up.
"I hate school dances.
There's not even any drinks" Coach walked up to her.
She smiled.
"It's a school dance.
If there's any alcohol we're supposed to take it away" she said.
"Yeah so we can drink it ourselves" Coach said.
"If you want to do that, that's fine.
I'm only going to be reading the entire time" she said.
"Come on it's a dance.
Loosen up a bit for once Hazel" he said.
"I'm not the best with parties," she said.
"I'm going to walk away before I catch any of your I'm still working cooties," he said.
She laughed "Alright" she said before sitting down.
She looked around at all the decor before letting out a deep breath.
"Is this seat taken?" she smiled as she heard Garrett.
"No," she said as she looked at him before having to hold her jaw before it dropped to the floor.
He looked gorgeous.
He was wearing black trousers which were well fitted in all the right places, a black blazer with a pocket square, a well-fitted forest green button down and polished black shoes.
He sat next to her before looking at her with a smile.
"You are the most beautiful woman in this entire school.
Maybe even the entire town" he said.
She blushed "I made a little bit of effort.
I'm not a dance person but knew if I had to go I wanted to look nice at least a little bit" she said.
"You are stunning.
You should dress like this more" he said as he tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear.
"You look perfect as well.
I would say wear this more but every female student and teacher wouldn't be able to concentrate" she said.
"I wouldn't mind if you were the one staring" he said causing her to blush.
She felt her face heat up as he looked at her with a lustful gaze.
Like a lion looking at its prey.
