The next day after the dance Hazel had to force herself to go to work.
She was exhausted as her body went through changes only a werewolf should go through.
She struggled to sit still in the taxi as being near another man who wasn't Garrett made her strangely uncomfortable.
She hoped it would fade but she didn't know.
Once she got to work she realised that she should have stayed home.
She felt exhausted, nauseous and sore and it was all beating her to a bloody pulp.
She walked to Garrett's classroom befyre walking inside as he prepared for his first lesson.
He looked at the door before looking at her with concern.
"What are you doing here?" he said.
"I thought I would be able to come to work.
I'm regretting it now" she said as she sat at his desk.
He knelt beside her before tucking her hair behind her ears.
"You will be exhausted for a few days, kleine Maus.
Your body needs rest and being here won't help" he said.
"I didn't know that.
I'm not like you" she said.
"Then I will stay with you," he said.
"It's ok.
If I stay sat down I might be able to do at least a half day" she said.
"No.
Not while you're like this.
I'm taking you to my apartment and you will rest" he said.
"What's happening to me?" she asked.
He looked into her eyes.
"Your body is preparing for a child while transforming you at the same time," he said before quickly getting his laptop.
He sent an email saying he had to miss work due to a very sudden passing.
He then got all his things before placing his coat on her.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"Don't apologize.
I should have said something" he said.
He walked to her before picking her up.
"No wait.
The halls are full of people" she said.
He groaned before putting her down.
"Lean on me," he said.
"Ok," she said before walking out of school quickly together.
They then got in his car.
She looked at him before holding his hand.
He looked at her before kissing her causing her heart to flutter.
He then drove to his large apartment before carrying her in.
"This is all so strange," she said.
He smiled "It is isn't it" he said.
Garrett walked into his apartment before placing her in his room.
She sat on the bed before looking at him.
"Will I turn soon?" she asked not wanting to feel like this for too long.
You have already turned but because you could be pregnant you won't turn until after.
Just sleep for now" he said before kissing her head.
She smiled before laying fully on his bed feeling soothed by his scent.
"Can you get me a test?
I just need to know" she said.
He looked at her.
"You are.
You have to trust me with this" he said.
"I do," she said before yawning.
He smiled before walking out of the room leaving her to sleep.
He walked into the kitchen and poured some whiskey into a crystal glass.
He never realised how his goals would change after last night.
The second the bond was finalised he no longer cared about the ghost riders or starting a war instead, he cared about her and only her.
So much so that he revoked his control over the ghost riders allowing them to ride back with the storm.
