Months went by as Hazel stayed in Garrett's apartment as he went back and forth between the apartment and the house.
He made sure she stayed safe at home as he didn't trust anyone but himself with her,
After her father died a month ago she didn't fight Garrett as her mind and body were going through a lot and it was weighing her down.
Mason and a few other of her old students had tried to contact her but she couldn't bring herself to tell them that she wasn't coming back.
They all hoped she would which shattered her.
Hazel sat on the couch in the living room as Garrett sat behind her lifting her stomach that was growing bigger every day.
She almost couldn't keep up.
She smiled at the relief before placing her head on his shoulder.
"They have been kicking more.
With the full moon and all they are trying to break out," she said softly.
"Just two more months.
You have done well kleine Maus"(Little Mouse) he said before kissing her.
"I know everything won't end until weeks after.
The moment I have this baby I will turn and then I will have to learn to control it while caring for a newborn.
"Once you turn your instincts will care for our child naturally," he said as he listened to the baby's delicate heartbeat.
"How is the house coming along?" she asked as she turned around so she was beside him with her knees digging into the couch.
"It will be ready within a few weeks.
I am planning on going down there in a few minutes unless you need me here" he said.
"No.
I want you to go" she said.
"I better start getting ready to go then," he said.
"Ok.
I'm going to sleep off this pain.
I don't think I can do much while I'm like this" she said.
"Do you want me to carry you?" he asked.
"Yes," she said before jolting as the baby kicked her again.
He laughed softly before carrying her to the bed before laying her down.
She held his hand as he placed his hand on her stomach.
Hazel looked at him before smiling.
"Lock everything, please.
Like always" she said.
"I will.
Do you need anything?" he asked.
"No," she said.
He kissed her before walking out of the room.
She looked at her stomach be fire taking a deep breath.
"Be gentle with me.
I'm not like your father" she said before moving over to Garrett's side of the bed.
She inhaled his scent before letting herself drift off.
She expected that the last two months would fly by at least she hoped they would.
More than ever her entire body was in so much pain as the baby inside her wasn't human and was beating her to a pulp thinking she'd just heal.
Once she gave birth she would be like Garrett and if she fell pregnant again it would be easier.
She just wanted all this to be over as soon as possible.
