Y/N messaged Victor not long after the mission, she didn't know what to say, she didn't know how to feel, for multiple reasons.

On one side, knowing she was being used this entire time by Victor, him knowing who she is. But on the plus side, he got her whole story twisted, and is completely unaware she isn't part of the team taking him down.

On the other side, that one mistake she did, that miraculously helped the team, has changed things for her.

Despite not having an involuntary hysterectomy, she never thought about having kids. But now... her mind was being filled with what ifs, and maybes.

She thought she could possibly use this as an excuse to see Victor, but at the same time, she didn't think she was going to keep it. A baby is a real thing, and as much as an awful person he appeared to be, it would be too cruel to mess with his emotions as such.

"Hey Victor, thinking of you. Hope we can make plans soon" , she wrote.

She was proud at that, as silly as it seemed, she successfully wrote a text message.

A few minutes went by and her phone buzzed.

"Hello beautiful, been thinking of you too. I'm currently away on business, but I should be back in a month. Would love to see you then."

She sighed, disappointed at that response. She was hoping this mission to be over, they needed to find the last location.

Y/N wandered into the kitchen and lent on the counter next to Nat who was cutting up fruit.

"Any luck?", Nat asked.

"He's busy, a month at least", Y/N sighed.

"You've been lucky before, some things take longer than expected", Nat replied.

Y/N sighed, "Yeah.", she looked at what Nat was doing. "What are you doing?"

"Fruit salad, want some?", She replied.

Y/N turned her nose up, "I'm good thanks, the smell is making me feel nauseous"

Nat laughed, "I don't think it's the fruit"

"Yeah yeah, laugh it up. Karma is kicking my ass", Y/N replied.

"Hey, for all you know. This karma you speak off, could be a blessing in disguise", Nat suggested, while she scraped the fruit into a bowl. "I know given the circumstances, you may not want to keep it, but this could change your life"

"I think this whole mission has changed my life as a whole", Y/N laughed slightly.

"For better or for worse?", Natasha raised an eyebrow.

"Only time will tell", Y/N replied. "As for now, my opinion has changed and those grapes look appealing"

Natasha laughed and put the fruit salad in between the two.

"Did you know?", Steve asked Bucky. They were sat in the meeting room going over possible locations of the last warehouse.

"Know what?", Bucky replied, not looking up.

Steve put down the files, "You know what"

Bucky sighed, "yes I knew"

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Steve, it's not my business", Bucky replied.

"I warned you", Steve was stern.
