The Betrayed Wolves

Chapter 10

I walked out of the cave, happiness shining in my eyes. I trotted over to Mika, who was talking to Fireball. "Guys, you better get used to this place because its your new home." I said smiling. Mika gasped and wagged her tail excitedly. "I have never been in such a large pack before. This place is great, theres even prey all year long!" Mika barked. Fireball, just starred at me with emotionless red eyes.

I backed away from them, only to bump into Snowstorm. I turned around to her. "Im sorry. Didnt notice you were there. Can you show me around this territory?" I asked, with my classic smirk. Snowstorm smiled and nodded her head.

I walked by her side, my fur brushing hers. "That over there, is our lake where we get most of our water. But since its winter, its frozen." She said gesturing to the frozen lake.

We walked for a little while longer, chatting and getting to know each other. "So, I know you came from a pack. Who were your parents?" Snowstorm asked, her beautiful blue eyes shining with curiosity. I sighed and decided to answer. "Well my parents are Olive and Horan. But the weird thing is I look nothing like them. The reason I was with the pack you found me in was because someone tried to kill me." I answeres, rage slowly building up inside me. "Who tried to kill you?" Snowstorm asked, as she ploped down into the snow. "My sister. When I was a pup my sister Milky, and I went to go play by the edge of the cliff. I had gotten to close to the edge and Milky decided now wasna good time to strike. I started to fall of the edge, and I kept calling for her to help me. She had ran over and held down my paws. Until she let go. I plumeted into water, and thats where I met my group." I answered. I don't care how long it takes, but I WILL get my revenge on Milky. I thought angrily.

I lifted my head towards the moon high in the sky. It was almost as beautiful as Snowstorm. "I have one more question. Who is the she-wolf who you seemed to be mooning over when we met?" She asked cocking her head to the side.

Embarrassment fludded through my veins. "Thats Silver-Lineing, we go back to when I was with my birth pack. I had a crush on her for a long time, but im over her." I said quickly.

Snowstorm just giggled. "Well thats good, because you will probaly have some she-wolve's chasing after you." She said.

We sat starring at each other, not wanting to turn our gaze away from each other. Until someone called for her.

"Snowstorm why don't you get yourself over here and get me some prey." Someone called.

Snowstorm looked at her paws sadly. "Well this is goodbye for now, I will see you in camp. My mate , Thorn is calling me." She said getting up.

I stared at her, she had a mate?! I was in love with her, and it was obvious she loved me!

"Snowstorm wait!" I barked. She turned around. I ran towards her, my heart beating in my chest. "Snowstorm I love you and I want to be with you!" I barked. She looked at me, her beautiful gaze clouding with sadness. "I love you to..Only if I had waited a little longer for you.."

Sadness gripped my heart. I will do anything for her, to be with her.
