The Betrayed Wolves

Chapter 13

I fell back, landing on my back. I stared into his blazing eyes, they danced with hatred. I struggled to get back on my paws, but Fireball held me down. "You moron! I loved her first, SHES MINE!" He snarled visciously.

Teeth sank into my front right paw and I howled in pain. With my other paw I scraped his muzzle. He just shook my front paw. I was too weak to fight back. He dropped my paw and grabbed my neck. He contuined shaking me, I could feel my flesh ripping and blood welling as he did it.

I stared into the cave where Mika had been brought into for treatment. I could feel my body helplessly hit thw ground. The world around my started to fade as my eyelids slowly closed.

I lifted my head and looked around. Everywhere around me was a meadow. Bright orange, green, pink, and yellow flowers painted the earth.

I lifted myself up, there was no bone ache or pain.

"I see you have awaken. Welcome to the Meadow Of Dreams." Someone said from behind. I turned around to find a one-eyed black and blue she-wolf. Her pelt was lined with many scars but her eyes shined with wisdom.

"Who are you?!" I growled. Her eyes glistened with amusment. "I am Racqel." She said. "You just listen to me, I carry a very important message." She said, her one-eyed gaze hardening. I felt my fur start to lie flat. "This is your future." She said, waving her spotted tail to an image that started ro appear.

A small pup was crouched in a hole. His pelt was white and he had green stripes that lined his ears, muzzle, and front paws. His vibrant green eyes glistened with fear as a shadow started moving closer to him. The image started to fade and all that was heard was a yelp of suprise.

"I don't even know that pup!" I shorted. "Yet." She corrected. "He is your future, protect him at all costs or you will find disaster!" She growled as she paced around me. "Now wake!" She growlrd.

I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in a soft nest. I went to lift my head and pain shot through my neck. "Stop moving." Someone huffed. A light grey wolf came into view. A Blue Jay feather hung from her ear. I went to ask her name but she stopped me. "Feather, pack medicine wolf. Yes I know of your drram and no I cant tell anymore. Now shut up and let me heal you." She growled.
How did she know all my questions? I wondered.

I slowly turned my head towards a purple lump inthe corner. "Mika?" I whsipered. She turned towards me. Her eyes lite up with happines. "What happened to you?" She asked. "Fireball happened." I growled. Her eyes started to cloud with sadness. "What happened to him?" She asked with bitterness. I shrugged my shoulders and Feather sighed. "He was chased out and banished." Feather answered. "You both are free to go, but stay out of fights." She said eyeing us. We nodded and walked away talking
