🌹Chapter 4 Chestnut Picking 🌹

Soon after classes were done, the group met up at the entrance of the botanical gardens

When they entered (Y/N) was beyond in awe for seeing how many plants grew in this garden

"Whoa, There's so many chestnuts here! if we have so much then all you can eat maroon tarts for us! Hehehehe..." Grim chuckles as he went over to a chestnut bush to grab a chestnut

"Let's hurry and—Owie! Ouch!" Grim yelps as the chestnuts thorns were digging into his paws

"These chestnuts thorns are hurting my paws!"

"That's because they're very prickly when picking. It Keeps animals from eating these plants" (Y/N) explained as she carefully removed the thorns from Grim's paw

"It would seem that it would be impossible to pick the chestnuts with bare hands. We would need a bucket to place the chestnuts in" Deuce confirms taking a look around

" maybe we find them somewhere in the gardens" Ace suggests

"Good idea"

The group headed further into the gardens

"*whistle*... it looks bigger on the inside" Ace remarks

"I believe we should be able to find those things we need if we split up and look around@

"Sounds like a plan, me, Grim and my creatures will chip in part of these gardens" (Y/N) confirmed

"I'll go right" Ace said
"And I'll go west" Deuce said

And just like that, the group split up to go in their directions

"Wow! Hey (Y/N) check these out? There's tons of fruit here! And they smell so good!" Grim said gleeful

"It would seem like this place has many plants. There are compared to the ones I've seen." She said observing her surroundings, but sadly she didn't watch where she was stepping

"Ow!" An unfamiliar voice shouted out

"Hm? Did I just step on something?" (Y/N) thought as she look down to see what she stepped on to see some kind of lions tail.

Her eyes widened "Uh oh" she thought

"Oi! You got a lot of nerve on stepping on someone's tail and just walk away without saying anything"

(Y/N) Turned her head to see the same lazy lion that she seen from the entrance ceremony getting up

"Are you the caretaker here? You seem like a rude guy." Grim says causing (Y/N) to quickly slap her hand on the cats mouth

"Grim please stop talking"

"I was right in the middle of a nap then you go and step on my tail. This sucks." The lion grumbling.

"My apologies. I wasn't watching where was going.

He suddenly paused as he glimpsed up at (Y/N)

"Hold on a sec... I know you... you're the omnivore that's the daughter of that Magizoologist I've heard so much about" he said as he walked up to her and began to sniff her

This caused (Y/N) to be surprised "I-is he sniffing me?!" She thought

He suddenly backed away

"Heh, it's true. I smell sparks and magic on you, but I also smell something else..." he said as he sniffed her again

"Mmmm...the scent of flowers flowers and blossoms. It's quite a luring scent." he said smirking.
