Four days after the Battle of the Wesfore Sea, Qua-Toyne mobilized their army to the fortress city of Ejei. Around seven thousand or so troops are stationed in Ejei, and five thousand UN troops came to the fortress city.

The city is almost overloaded by soldiers from Qua-Toyne and UN expeditionary forces. Fortunately, the Ejei head command was able to provide proper housing for the soldiers by borrowing some houses from civilians. The civilians who gave their houses temporarily will receive payment from the loans.

On the other side, the Lourians have marched three days towards the nearest hill to Ejei, laying encampments there. The numbers of these Lourians are unknown; the most trusted source of information stated there's more than two thousand or so soldiers, similar to the number of Lourian forces during the invasion of Gim.

Cannons are deployed by Louria, around three hundred in number. The presence of cannons in the Lourian camps worried the Ejei command, as they believed that there might be a Parpaldian observer, representative, or military advisor in those Lourian camps. It is best to not kill him or them to prevent an incident that could lead Parpaldia to antagonize Qua-Toyne and its allies.

The Lourian itself hasn't shown any sign of sieging Ejei. The uncertainty of this does bother the head command, but they don't bother because they can just mow the Lourians down with their machineguns and disorient them with artillery pieces.

Over the course of four days, the Qua-Toynian Principality Army high command has been annoyed and irritated by Louria. The Lourians have tried to raid other settlements that seem unprotected with their cavalry, which mostly ended miserably due to most settlements being guarded or already abandoned.

The government is also overwhelmed as refugees from the eastern regions keep coming to evade or run from the war. This issue will later be solved by constructing refugee settlements in some cities and towns in the central regions.

General Nhou, the in-charge of all forces in Ejei, sat in his office, reading some reports with his right hand rubbing his forehead.

"Another day, another problem. Goddamnit.."

Nhou hadn't slept all night, considering his work doubled from the usual. He now has eye sacks and seems very tired, a messy uniform, and a mug of coffee on his desk.

Then, the door is knocked.

"Come in!"

The door's open and revealed his aide.

"General, sir!" The aide saluted.

"At ease." The aide eased. "What is it?" Nhou tiredly asked.

"Uhh... You should have a rest first, general." The aide said, worried with the state of tiredness his superior has.

"Nah..." He said while waving his hand, "There are too much works I need to handle today."

"You have been working so hard, general. The last time you slept was last night." The aide replied.

"No need! We are in a war. Something like this should be common now." Nhou retorted. The aide himself can only sigh off. "Anyway, why are you here?" Nhou then asked his aide.

The aide-de-camp took a deep breath before spoked, "Two divisions of the United Nations Expeditionary Forces have arrived in the city. We are able to provide them with places to stay and an empty field for them to use."
