I was wondering what to reply.
After a few moments, I finally said: "Not... entirely."His eyes twitched and his voice became quite static: "Elaborate."
I stuttered: "Well... sometimes you're still being quite creepy and... you still refuse to tell me what precisely our relationship status is? We are... more than just friends, right?"
His grin took a more forced look again:
"If you wish to maintain a... close friendship to me, you should accept me the way I am. Which includes me being as you call it: 'creepy'. And also respect my boundaries of limited touch between us."I looked at him a bit frustrated.
He just looked at me, waiting me to say something.
He then says: "Come on, don't hesitate to speak your mind."I snarked: "Oh yeah? We're just... friends? Do friends kiss each other on the lips?"
He raised his voice to an almost threatening tone: "Look, y/n, I hold some kind of feelings towards you. Feelings that I don't really fully understand yet. Feelings of a kind that I haven't felt before. And before proclaiming any sort of actual romantic relationship, I would very much appreciate if you gave me some more time to figure my feelings out."
I sighed: "I'm sorry. I was just dying to know how exactly you feel about me."
He whispered: "Considering how often I invite you on things and how much quality time we spend together, I'm certain it should be kind of obvious to you that you mean quite much to me. More than most people at least."
I smiled at him sweetly: "Yeah, you're right, Al. I'm sorry for having been insecure again."
He said: "Well now it's time for another group redemption exercise with Charlie again anyway. I'll accompany you."Timeskip 5 minutes:
We had walked to the hotel lobby to join the others. All the others apart from Husk were already there. Husk stayed at the bar.
Charlie cheerfully announced: "Today we are gonna do a lesson of helping each other out! This time, I'll randomly choose the pairs that have to help each other out so you all learn or practise helping someone you usually don't hang out with or talk to much."
She pauses and then reads out the list she had prepared:
"Me and Nifty;
Angel and Alastor
Vaggie and y/n!"I saw that upon Vaggie hearing I was paired up with her, she gave Charlie a desperate or annoyed look. I'm not sure.
As I looked at Alastor, I saw his eyes twitched upon the idea of having to help out Angel with something.
Well... that surely is gonna be fun...Vaggie grumpily accepted her fate. So I approached her.
I awkwardly asked: "Hey Vag, what can I help you out with?"
She frowned heavily and shrieked: "Don't. Call. Me. That. Ever."
She then points her spear at me: "Unless you wanna die."
I smiled, trying to not look nervous: "Well I already died so..."She then pushed me against a wall: "Stop it. Now. I'm warning you."
I just continued teasing her: "You know... the last two times I was pushed against a wall by someone... it ended in a kinky way."
I then winked at her teasingly.
She just let go of me in a heartbeat and grunted: "Ugh!"I wanted to come to the point: "Now that this is settled... what can I do to help you, VAGGIE?"
She just grunted in an annoyed tone: "I don't need your help. When Charlie asks us in what way we helped out each other, just make something up."
I sighed: "Like what should I make up? I barely know you. But Charlie does. If I make up anything that doesn't make sense for you, then she'll notice."
She chuckled lightly: "You're right. She would see right through you if you told her bullshit without knowing me... Uhm just tell her you helped me with coming to terms with having been an extermination exorcist in the past."
I gulped: "HOLY SHIT."
