Chapter 18: Angel's Wedding💝

Timeskip 2 months:

I had helped Angel to set up the wedding. Today, their wedding would take place. The wedding is gonna take place outside in the open. Alastor and me decorated a bit of the outside to the couple's wishes.

There was a big stage where the official wedding would happen for every guest to watch. In front of the stage, there were six rows of ten azure-coloured chairs for each row. The stage was coloured in tones varrying from lighter shades of violet to darker shades of violot. Then, they were some little decorations on the stage. There was an altar, a huge gorgeous cute painting of Angel and Husk and lots of the most beautiful flowers.

I was wearing a very beautiful light-violet dress. I was waiting for Angie to arrive. And when I saw him arriving, I legitimatically forgot breathing for a few moments because Angel looked drop-dead gorgeous in his white wedding dress. The dress looked as if it was made for Angel specifically. I started squealing and ran to Angel: "YOUR LOOK IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! IT'S TO DIE FOR! OMG I'M SO EXCITED!"
Angel joined my squealing: "THANK YOU SO MUCH, TOOTS. FOR EVERYTHING! AND I'M SO EXCITED TOO!"

I saw Alastor accompanying Husk. Husk was wearing a very classy black suit. It also suited him exemplary! I looked at Angel next to me and I saw Angie was completely in awe with Husk's outfit.

I was taking a proper look at Al. He was wearing a blood-red suit. Upon seeing me, his smile relaxed. I let Angie go on the stage with Husk. I approached Al, grabbing to hold his hand. He whispered in my ear: "You look the most beautiful, sweetheart."
Huh? Did he just call me sweetheart?
I whispered back: "You've never called me sweetheart before."

He looked at me closely: "I love you, y/n."
AHHHHH HE SAID HE LOVES ME. I'M MELTING. WHILE HE SAID IT, HIS VOICE WAS WITHOUT RADIO STATIC.
I pulled him in for a kiss, saying: "I love you too, Alastor." Then kissing him tenderly.

Then Charlie walked on stage cuz she is gonna take the role as priestess. She was wearing a beautiful light-red dress.
Vaggie was closely behind her but she didn't follow her on stage tho. Instead, she sat down in the first row. Vaggie was wearing an azure dress. Then me and Alastor said down in the first row too. A few minutes later, also Nifty and someone who I assume must be Cherry Bomb showed up.

Charlie began the priestess' speech: "Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today in the sight of Hell's population to witness and celebrate the holy union of Anthony and Husk. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a lifelong commitment. It is a union founded on love, trust, and fidelity."

Charlie pauses and looked at Husk: "Husk, do your vows."
Husk held out his paw to hold Angel's hand. I was holding my breath.

Husk began speaking: "When Alastor first forced me to work in this hotel, I told Charlie on the first day I was working here that I had lost the ability to love years ago. But you, Anthony, you were able to bring back my ability to love. Only thanks to you, I ain't needing no booze anymore. You make me happier than I've been in a long, long time. Thank you for showing me that there is something to live for in the afterlife. In the first time in my life, I'm excited for what is to come. All thanks to you, Anthony. I love you so much."

Angel was looking beyond moved at what Husk just said. Angel was trying very hard to not cry out of happiness. But then he looked at Charlie who was already crying out of happiness. He then looked in the audience and saw that I was crying out of joy too so he couldn't hold his tears of happiness back any longer.

So there was a little break until everyone had calmed down. Alastor of course didn't cry but I could tell he was moved by what Husk had said. He moved closer to me and whispered in my ear: "I think I don't want to have Husk on my leash any longer."
WHAT?!
I gave him a look and asked him louder than intended: "YOU HAVE HUSK ON YOUR LEASH?"

Everyone turned around to the two of us. Alastor then spontaneously walked up on stage. He looks at Husk: "Dear Husk, I'm going to free you of our contract. Consider it a wedding gift."

Husk looked at him and realised that Alastor wasn't shitting him. So with absolute relief but also lots of confusion, Husk spoke:
"I'm very happy and grateful about that, Alastor. But also... why would you do that? Forgive me for asking but that's completely unlike you."

Alastor sighed: "Y/n... has made me want to be a better person. A part of me doesn't like this but I really want to... change for the better. So I want you to be able to be completely happy in your marriage with Angel without the thought of your leash being in the back of your head."

Husk had a few tears in his eyes. To Husk's own surprise, he quickly hugged Alastor. Who was also very surprised but he didn't dislike it. Now Charlie was crying even harder about all the emotions being displayed at the wedding. Charlie was then also hugging Alastor, sobbing in his suit: "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU, ALASTOR."
To my surprise, Alastor smiled genuinely: "Thank you, Charlie."

After a few minutes of waiting for all the happy tears to stop and Alastor returning to his seat next to mine. I smiled at him happily. When he sat down next to me, I kissed him and then I said: "I'm very proud of you, Al."
His smile grew bigger: "It means a lot coming from you, my darling."

Charlie looked at Angel, saying: "Angel, do your vows."
Angel began speaking: "I've been craving a real, deep bond with someone. A bond that isn't only physical but also emotional. A bond that persists. Until I've met my Husk, the bonds I had in my life always had been short-lived and solely physical. I had even believed my life would remain this empty and hollow forever. But me and Husk fell in love with each other. A slowburn. But an intense one. My path to happiness was tangled, long and hard. Yeah the path has been rocky and full of hardships. But I wouldn't have had it any other way. I can't wait to spend an eternity in Hell with you! I love you so much too, Husk."

The smile I was seeing on Husk's face right now was the happiest and most genuine smile I've ever seen on his face. He even shed a little tear of happiness too. I sure as hell was crying again. Alastor noticed and patted my head softly. Charlie was crying too.

Charlie looked at Husk and asked him: "Do you, Husk, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall keep living in the afterlife?"
Husk smiled full of happiness: "I do."

Then, Charlie asked Angel the same thing: "Do you Anthony, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall keep living in the afterlife?"
Angel teared up out of happiness: "I do!"

Then, after a few minutes, they exchanged their golden marriage rings to each other. After exchanging the rings, they both looked at their rings in absolute awe.

Charlie concluded: "By the authority vested in me by the State of Hell, I now pronounce you husband and husband!"
Everyone was cheering. Me included.

Alastor looked at me warmly: "I can't wait for our wedding day, sweetheart."
I smiled at him: "Me neither."
This really has been a very happy day in Hell.
