Narrator's POV:

Waves washed softly up onto shore as the sun casted a light over the ocean, the water sparkling under the light as birds flew by and large ships moved through the water.

A 9 year old girl ran next to the water, giggling as she imagined herself as one of the pirates on those ships out in the ocean, pretending to be captain of one of the ships more specifically.

The water washed over her feet and she giggled looking down, watching it slip back into the ocean as another wave came along only moments later and splashed up against her legs.

Sand sticking to her feet as she continued running around, humming and whispering to herself about everything while making sure her parents hadn't noticed what she was pretending to be.

She could hear laughter and looked towards the docks and seen pirates walking along them, making their way on and off the ships docked there, laughing and talking.

That's when she also noticed two young boys, one with light blonde hair and bright blue eyes and one with raven black hair and bright blue eyes, one of the raven haired boys eyes almost covered by hair.

The young girl watched them with a smile on her face as they caught up to a blonde haired man and a raven haired woman, they looked to be a happy family as they made their way onto the ship.

The raven haired boy noticed her looking and locked eyes with her for only a moment before the young girl looked almost blushing at how cute she found him.

Her bubblegum pink hair blew in the breeze, covering some of her face and by the time she had pushed her hair out of her face, the boy had disappeared onto the ship.

She shrugged her shoulders and turned around, stepping further in the water when she heard someone clear their throat and turned around to see her parents staring at her.

She smiled sheepishly and stepped back, hearing her siblings running around nearby far away from the water, just like her parents had always requested.

Her siblings had no care for the water but the 9 year old couldn't help but more interested, though she knew she could not go far enough into the water to not be able to touch the ground....she cannot swim.

Her parents would not teach any of them how to swim as they believed that learning how to swim will lead to their children wanting to become a pirate.

The girls amber coloured eyes drifted over to the docks once again and she watched them move along the dock, heading into buildings and onto ships.

"Nana-Chan!" Nana-Chan jumped and spun around to see the annoyed look on her parents face, her siblings stopped behind them and smiled nervously before running off once again.

"Yeah mama?" Nana-Chan asked, walking towards her knowing that she was in trouble but she couldn't figure out what had gotten her in trouble.

"Why are you looking at the docks? You know the rules" Her mother scolded, Nana-Chan looked down silently biting her tongue to refrain from saying how dumb it is to not be able to look at something that takes up a good part near the beach.

"Sorry mama" Nana-Chan mumbled and sat down on the blanket near her mother, her mother shook her head and looked over at the docks once more before laying back and going back to her book.

Nana-Chan sighed and looked down, playing with her hands as she listened to her siblings running around nearby knowing they would never get in trouble for this.

"You stay away from anyone who goes to the docks, you hear me Nana-Chan?" Nana-Chan looked up to see the serious look on her father's face and the disgust in his tone.
