EIGHTEEN: It'll Be Fun

Nana-Chan's POV:

It's been a few days since the storm and thankfully there was no damage to any of the houses or stores around us...and none of the ships down at the docks were damaged either.

Much to my parents disappointment.

It's late at night now and I've been up, sketching a few landscaping drawings of the areas I had seen during our trek back towards the palace where Travis let us wait out the storm that lasted another night.

Hearing a tap on the window, I looked over and seen Zane waiting there, I smiled and climbed off my bed and ran over to the window to unlock the window.

Pushing them open, he climbed through and I closed the doors behind him and turned around to see him looking down at my new sketchbook, he was flipping through it.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I thought you'd want to go on a late night swim with Garroth, Aphmau, Aaron, and I" He said and looked up from my sketchbook...I couldn't help but shoot him a look.

"I can't swim?" I reminded him.

"You'll be surrounded by four people who can swim. It'll be fun" He said and I stared at him for a moment in hesitation before nodding my head and agreeing with him.

"Let me just get ready" He nodded his head and walked over to the window, he opened the window and jumped back out like it was nothing at all to him.

Okay then.

I rushed around my room, getting changed into something I wouldn't normally wear but hopefully it works out...I mean I've always wanted to wear but never had the chance too.

A white shin length spaghetti strap dress that had to be tied up into the front, the reaming string was tied into a cute bow with a double knot to keep it in place.

I pulled on kitten heel shin high white lace up boots and carefully did them up before throwing my hair into a braid with a few strands out and once I was ready, I headed over to the window.

"How do you expect me to get out?" I asked, a little nervous.

"Jump" I looked at him like he was insane but he just stared up at me with a patient look...I took a deep breath and climbed out the window and onto the small ledge.

I made sure to close the window again before jumping down, I braced for impact but I never hit the ground as arms caught me and I opened an eye to see Zane staring at me.

"Was that so bad?" He asked as he set me down.

"No" I admitted.

"Come on, they're down by the beach" He said and we started running, not wanting to risk a chance of my parents somehow seeing us and honestly it was so much fun.

Because I'm with Zane.

Zane jumped up, climbing over the wall and stopped on the ledge, looking at me with an encouraging expression as I took a deep breath and started climbing up the vines.

When I was close enough, he grabbed my hand and pulled me over onto the ledge, I sighed in relief and then realized we had to jump down from here too.

"Tuck and roll" He said and jumped down...he did it with ease and I followed a little more clumsily and landed on my butt but I didn't break any bones.
