^^^the outfit! of course the shoes...I couldn't find the exact idea that I wanted but just imagine them as mesh like that without designs...they were the only thing I could find so I'm sorry
(so I'm sorry but with this book for some reason I'm suffering with some major writers block and it'll take a bit before I complete this book and I hope you all understand)
Narrator's POV:
Nana-Chan was a little nervous about the dancing night...she had never done anything like that before and couldn't help but wonder what would happen there.
She had opted to wear a lacey flowy spaghetti strap shin length dress with a mesh white heel...the only other shoes she owns besides her flats and work shoes.
She also chose to wear her hair down in curls with a little braided crown to keep a few strands out of her face...she had never worn her hair like this before and hoped that it would be okay.
She waited until her parents went to bed before slipping out of the house...but she came face to face with her older brother Kenji, standing there...dressed in his palace uniform.
"Kenji" She squeaked.
"Off to see the pirate mercenary again?" He asked with a knowing tone that had Nana-Chan's eyes widening in shock and nervousness that he was going to stop her.
"Yes" She mumbled.
"Take the side exit, there's more guards posted at the front entrance" He said and she sighed in relief, she thanked him with a quick hug and went running in that direction.
Nana-Chan ducked underneath a few bushes and slipped out through the side exit just like her brother had suggested and when she snuck by the front entrance, she could see double amount of the guards.
Must be worried about thieves.
Nana-Chan started the walk down towards the dock, music could be heard playing loudly and she could see everyone around enjoying their time and celebrating.
Nana-Chan smiled as she reached the docks and started searching for Zane or anyone she knows while taking in her surroundings with a huge smile on her face.
Zane dropped the cards and stood up, taking his winnings while Captain Garroth laughed in amusement and success at his brother's victory as he cheers the air.
Zane begun looking around for any sign of Nana-Chan, he couldn't help but wonder if she was actually going to show up or not...and the disappointment that filled him at the thought she wouldn't didn't make him happy.
Then he seen her.
She was looking around some more but he couldn't take his eyes off her...as he thought about the fact that he had never truly seen her hair down before and now it was.
It was down in gorgeous curls that ended at her waist, framing her face perfectly as she searched the crowd of people for any signs of Zane...disappointment beginning to fill her when she couldn't find him.
"Nana" Zane said.
"Oh good you are here! Are your enjoying your time so far?" Nana-Chan chirped with a smile on her face as she stopped in front of Zane, smiling up at him brightly.
"I am. Have you been here long?" Zane asked.
"I just got here and started searching for you. What have you been doing?" She asked as she started walking with him into the tarven, looking around some more.
"Cards and listening to music" He responded.
She looks beautiful he thought.
He looks handsome she thought.
