SIXTEEN: 2 Months Of Avoiding Him

Narrator's POV:

King Travis had settled nicely into his role as the King and he's been doing wonderfully, knowing that his parents would be proud of the person he's become.

Nana-Chan has been successfully avoiding Zane for the last 2 months despite Zane's best efforts to speak to her, she won't let herself speak to him despite how much she wants too.

Kia has begun joining King Travis and her big sister more often, her parents have approved becaus they believe she's learning more from them then she would in school.

What they don't realize is Kia has secretly been learning how to swim with King Travis' help and he's been enjoying every moment of it...espically because a certain princess has been spending more time around them.

Nana-Chan still hasn't learned how to swim completely and she's perfectly content sitting on the beach and sketching out everything in her mind...a lot of which end up being Zane.

Every sketch she's been doing involves Zane and she found herself filling an entire sketchbook with the drawings...and instead of getting rid of it she dropped it off with Captain Garroth before Zane returned.

And now, Nana-Chan is stuck inside the palace's library with King Travis as a storm made it's way towards the island Kingdom...being said to be one of the biggest storms to come to the island in decades.

"Nana-Chan, have you spoken to Zane?" Nana-Chan looked up from her book and over at King Travis who was staring at her curiously but frowned when she shook her head.

"No" She muttered.

"But I don't understand, I thought–"

"Things change Travis and yes Zane and I were speaking more often for a short period of time but that's changed" She responded with a slight edge to her tone that didn't go unnoticed by Travis.

"What's with the edge?" He asked.

"There is no edge to my tone Travis, go back to your book" She responded and looked back down at her book, choosing to ignore the rest of his questions.

Then Travis snatched the book out of her hands and walked away from her, Nana-Chan let out a breath and ran after him to get her book back from him.

"Travis give me–"

"Agree to speak to Zane because you and him would be perfect for each other and it's clear that he misses you. Captain Garroth told me he's been holding onto the sketchbook you left there the entire time and almost freaks out if anyone touches. He stabbed one of Captain Garroth's men who tried taking it from him–"

"Alright I'll speak to him!" She exclaimed, he smiled in success and returned the book to her as she let out a breath...but a happiness filled her at the thought that sound she'd be talking to him again...but she wasn't sure how to go about it.
