"Why didn't you answer my texts last night? I thought you went missing or something?" Brent whined as he shock me by my shoulder like it was my duty to answer his texts.
I glared up at him annoyed and he stopped before letting his hands drop down. I let out a sigh before I continued arranging my books into my locker.
After what happened last night in the party I wasn't able to get any sleep without replaying the event all over in my head like a broken tap replaying the same episode. It was worse that I couldn't remember everything in detail and each time I did I cursed out Weston. It was all his fault. How could you just do that to a person? And me of all people? Or now was he gay and thought it would be a good idea to experiment on me or some shit?
Anyways, when the sun finally rose and it was a decent time to be actually awake I was met with my mom yelling because her tulips were ruined. My dad tried to calm her down and tell her they'll find the vandal, not knowing the so called vandal was just sitting across them.
Though it wasn't my intention to ruin her flowers I was the one to blame, but I couldn't tell them that since I would have to explain what I was doing outside by that time of the night. So I just had to act sad for her while also feeling guilty till I left for school.
But the reason I'm in this mess in the first place is standing right Infront of me and staring like a lost child.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Brent asked, the worried tone in his voice obvious. I wish I could just tell him because of him I kissed Weston, but there was no way that was about to happen.
I shut my locker and began walking away but, Brent caught up with me.
"Are you just going to give me the silent treatment?" He asked as we walked through the hallway. "Was it about the party?"
I glared up at him and he tensed up before relaxing a bit.
"Okay, I'm sorry for leaving alone so you can actually socialize, but that can't be the reason your so moody" He exclaims before I stopped which made him stop as well and raise a brow.
"Socialize? You force me to go to some dumb party, get me drunk then leave me for you to go make out with some girl, and then I get—" I paused as I suddenly felt a pang in my chest before calming myself. It was his fault still but what happened with Weston wasn't his.
Brent stared at me for a bit then let out a sigh before putting his arm over my shoulder. "I guess it is my fault, hah. how can I make it up to you hu?" He smiled down at me, his lips curled up in a sincere smile. When he looks at me like that it was hard to stay mad at him.
"Next time we go to a party you better not ditch me for some girl" His grin suddenly widen before he banged his fist against his chest and look up seriously.
"I swear I will never make out with a girl again!" He announced as if we were the only ones in the hallways.
I stared at him before laughing a bit. "I didn't mean it like— you know what, sure, whatever" I shock my head before the bell rang, indicating classes had started. Brent let out a groan as he dramatically slouched over my shoulder.
"I'm guessing you must have Economics now?" He gave me a nod of approval before straightening up and letting out a deep exaggerated sigh which made me let out a light chuckle.
Wait, if Brent had Economics then it meant I had... Fine art!
"I'll see you during lunch" He waved at me before running up the stairs and to his class. Meanwhile I stood in the hallway frozen in place as the realization slapped me across the face so hard it made me nauseous.
