Hearing Weston got Isabel pregnant and he acts totally cool with it is one thing, but hearing from Weston himself he didn't get Isabel pregnant and he does nothing to stop the rumors from spreading is a big deal. Even for someone as heartless as Weston, it all felt wrong.

At first I believed it and thought Weston was just acting unfazed since that was always his go-to mood, but after hearing it from his mouth that he didn't get her pregnant makes me wonder why he hasn't said anything all this while.

And he still accepted the beaten from Nathan.

"So everything, from the first day Isabel posted that positive pregnancy test has been a lie?" I asked him as he held onto my waist in a possessive manner.

"Yeah"

"Then why haven't you said anything all this while? She spreded a rumour that you got her pregnant, even had her brother come over to beat you up, and she still slapped you today and you did nothing?" I probably sounded more concerned than he was supposed to be, but if you were hearing all this you would be too.

"So what? It's her life. I can't stop her from doing something she wants to do, I'll just seem like the bad guy" He replied bluntly, still unfazed even after I explained all that to him.

"How does any of that even makes you the bad guy when she's toying with your-" I paused before my mouth slowly closed shut. Why am I even caring in the first place? It was obvious he didn't give a damn about this, so why am I the one who's even giving a damn about all this? I hate this guy, so his business is not even to be any of my concern.

I turned away from him before clearing my throat. The only reason I'm even talking with him right now is just because of a project. The quicker we get it done the quicker I can draw away from him, and his business, and get back to my normal life.

"Okay, let's start working on the project then. That's why we're hear in the first place" I lowered his hands from my waist then stood up from my bed and walked over to get my computer.

Yeah, Weston and I have no relationship aside from the one he built on hatred long ago. Shared one intimate moment, and we're partners for a project. Nothing more, and soon all that will die down and he'll go back to being the usual asshole he was.

Just the way things are meant to be.

"Let's head downstairs. It should be better doing this there" I suggest.

Weston nods before we both make our way downstairs and plopped ourselves in the kitchen Island. Weston sat besides me as I opened up my computer and typed in my password before it opened up.

"I don't know if you have any topic we can work on, but I thought of one we could use. It's Greek heritage on modern art" I explained as I opened up a tab and began typing that in. "I found the topic quite interesting since it mostly focused on how most modern art were inspired... By..." My words slowly began to drift off as I realized Weston didn't look like he was even paying attention. He just stared at me as if I was something new to him. "Uh, hello? Are you even listening?"

He didn't say anything and just kept his gaze on me before he leaned closer to me. His pure blue eyes staring into my regular brown ones. Who on earth wouldn't kill for eyes like his?

His hand trailed up then gently pushed strand of my hair back which made my ear twitch from the contact. "I am, I just got lost in your beautiful eyes"

"Beautiful? Yeah right. They're just regular brown eyes, so there's nothing much to admire. Come up with a better lie" I swatted his hand before turning my attention back to my computer and trying to calm my racing heart.
