———————————————I gave the security guard five dollars before they let me in and directed me to where to find the gymnasium where they'll be playing the game. I muttered a quiet thank you before I headed in.
I was still bothered about the conversation I had with my dad in the car. It made me even rethink going to the game but since I didn't want to spend another forty minutes of awkward silence with him I just got out the car and here I am.
It felt sicking listening to his words, and yet I couldn't even say anything. All I could do was nod and force a smile. Just like how I always do.
As I took a turn just like how the security guard told me to I paused as my gaze landed on Isabel, with a few of her friends laughing while holding snacks. Why her of all people?
I couldn't help but get annoyed as I stared at her. How do people even still believe she's pregnant? She seems so carefree about everything it should be a dead give away. Though I wouldn't even be thinking all this if Weston hadn't told me he didn't really get her pregnant.
But what bothered me was why he wouldn't just say he didn't get her pregnant. He didn't even try to tell his side of the story and just took it as a normal thing?
I don't know whether to call him smart, or just being dumb.
Anyways, ever since I decided to get involve in their matter Isabel has developed a burning hatred to me. Each time we have class together or we see each other he grey eyes are always glaring right at me with such hatred. Even when we brush pass each other she must always 'accidentally' bump into me and it hurts like hell since it seems her shoulders are made of metal.
But no matter how much I hated it I had to suppress my anger. After all, she was supposedly pregnant and God forbid will I be the person to make a pregnant high schooler cry.
I didn't want to run into her so I waited for her and her parade to move out of sight before I managed to sneak pass and eventually spotted the gymnasium. I made my way in and I was immediately met with half of all the seat crowded up with either students or teachers eagerly waiting for the game to start.
Everywhere looked so lively as everyone chatted with one another and cheered out loud. It made me feel a bit out of place but I had to swallow that all up. There was no turning back. I have already handed in my five dollars and there was no getting it back.
As I scanned round the gymnasium for an empty seat my attention was drown as a familiar voice yelled 'Lews'.
Turning my head I felt a smile stretch on my face as Brent jogged to me with a broad smile plastered on his face. Once he got closer to me he practically threw himself onto me and chuckled out loud before drawing back.
"Glad you made it!" He smiled as he pat my shoulder. I decided to tell Brent I would be coming to watch their game. He was shocked at first since I never got involved with sports but eventually went along with it. "I'm still shocked you actually came. You! Lewis Henderson, the most boring guy in the entire world"
I playfully glared at him before swatting his hand off my shoulder. "First of all, I'm not boring. Second, I would leave right now but I've already paid" Brent rolled his eyes as he ran his hand through his hair.
