"Saare sabooton aur gawahon ko maddenazar rakhte hue, yeh adaalat Mr. Ajey Nagar ko Papa Sky company ke employees se misbehaviour, and contract ke terms ko follow na karne ke liye, IPC section 491 ke tehet, 50 lakh INR ka jurmaana bharne ki liye 30 din ki mohlat deti hai. The court is adjourned."

With the final tap of the Judge's gavel against the wood, the prosecution side instantly broke  into chatter, while the Premium House members all collectively bit back a hiss.

After giving a respectful bow to the retreating judge, Ms. Kakkar simply turned toward Ajey and apologetically shrugged. "I tried my level best, Mr. Nagar."

"Lawde se best mere. Tu-" Yashi very audibly muttered, and was just about to go up front to punch the daylights out of Ms. Badboli Kakkar when she was held back by Sreeya.

"Court hai bhen. Jaane de" Sreeya said, passing a glare to their lawyer who pressed her lips in a thin line in response. Yashi shrugged her arm away from Sreeya's hold and went to stand beside a gloomy looking Ajey, draping her arm over his shoulder with a passive aggressive stare directed at Adisha.

"I don't give a flying fuck about the place or the time. Yeh banda mera bhai hai and I swear-" Yashi leaned menacingly closer to Adisha, though her voice was mostly calm, "I'll make you regret with every fibre in my being  if I ever find out you sold him off. Watch out, just saying." She shrugged, managing to give a pat on Adisha's shoulder before Abhishek pulled her back with Scout's help.

Ms. Kakkar awkwardly cleared her throat after the promise made by Yashi, before she beckoned to the exit. "Let's just... leave now. There's nothing else we can do."

"Damn right you can't" Aryan passed the group a grin, and a cocky wink to Adisha, who huffed and turned her face away.

"You can't even as much as put up a decent fight.. as pathetic as ever, I see" he ran a hand through his hair as he walked past the group; Scout, Mortal and Abhishek just barely holding Yashi back from becoming Yashasvini and pouncing on him.

She only chose to glare daggers at his retreating figure until he wasn't completely out of sight. She later exhaled a breath and turned to Ajey again, who's face looked like banda depression ki gehraaiyon me ghus chuka ho.

Yashi nudged Scout, who elbowed Harsh (thoda jor se. Kya matlab personal badla-) who in turn knocked on Sreeya's skull to get her attention.

"Khulke gaali deke chugli karni hai. Chal ice-cream khaane chalte."

"Ajey woh dekh safed kabootar- Ha Ha Ha" Harsh said in a futile attempt to make Ajey so much as snicker, as the whole lot of the Premium House descended the steps of the court.

But Harsh ke humor ke saath saath sabki aashayein bhi mar chuki thi.

And this time sirf Scout hi nahi, everyone collectively sighed.

Harsh, who was leeched onto Ajey's back like the Betaal to his Vikram, pulled his cheek. "Chal naaaa lawdee... baal jhadd jaayenge itna muh fulaaye rakkha toh." He whined, but to no use.

He huffed and turned his head to Yashi, who was vigorously texting on her phone.

"Nischay toh peeche hai tere- like the good patnivrata-soon-to-be-pati he is... fir tu kise text karrahi?"

"Harshita ko."

"Harshu ko? Kyu?"

"Mamaji se kehke gunde mangwaane. Adisha ko uthwaane ke liye."

She simply shrugged, jaise roj ki hi baat ho kisi ko ghar se uthwaana. Harsh, Ajey, Nischay and Abhishek instantly flinched, snapping their attention to Sreeya within a fraction of a second.
