"Soooo. Watcha gonna do when you get to Miss. Flame over there?" Jayla asked. I followed her around twists and turns as she leads us near the entrance.
"I'm sorry?" I ask. "Who do you mean by that?" Jayla rolled her eyes as we come back to the front doors.
"Lady Lesso. Obviously. You seem kinda pissed at her," I sighed at the reminder that that woman did that.
"Right. At the moment, I don't know." Jayla shrugged at my words and opened the doors. I squinted as a beautiful fire sunset spread across the sky.
"Well, personally, I think you should put ink in her coffee," Jayla said with a smug look. I chuckled at her.
"Not a bad idea, Freundinnen," I say back. We weren't even a few yards out when that group of girls threw something at me. My eyes saw it in slow motion, and I turned just in time to catch the damn thing.
"Verdammter stein," I say as I clutch the rock and turn to the group. The girls looked at each other with distressed faces, and I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously? These girls are losers," Jayla said, giving them a glare. The girls backed away, and I continued to walk towards the bridge.
"Don't worry about them. I've had worse than a rock thrown at my face," I say, reaching down and undoing my heels. Jayla shrugs and jumps up to the bridges' walls, walking on them and holding her arms out for balance.
Though it hurt that I was walking on a stone bridge, I didn't mind. It was better than falling face first into the stone.
"Ravenna didn't seem like the normal ever to you, did she?" Jayla asked, still looking down at the wall to keep balance. She had her tongue sticking out from the side of her mouth, and her nose sruntched.
That's precious
"You're quite right. She doesn't seem very princess like. Well, from the ones I've met," I say. Jayla nods, and we don't say a word until we get back to the hall.
"Well, I need to head to my dorm. I'll see you later, Miss. Caiden!" Jayla said with a silly smile. I gave her a less silly but more comforting smile.
"Just Caiden darling. Have a good night," I say as I turn and head down to my room. My heels still stay in my hand as I walk, so the satisfying click of them is not around. Just the empty, quiet hallway.
After many twists and turns, I finally reach the hallway I'm stayed in. And instead of going to my room, I turn and barge into Lesso's room.
She jumped from where she was standing and gave me a glare. Lesso was standing by her fireplace with a glass in her hands.
"I thought I said that if the door is unlocked to kn- You know what. Just what do you want. I'm too drunk to care," she said in a groggy voice. I gave her a hard glare.
"Wanna tell me why you had me go all the way over to Doveys when you could've just sent her a message?" I say, folding my arms. The woman just barks out in laughter.
"Mmm, yes, how so evil of me," she said with a seductive smirk and curling a finger around the rim of her glass.
"That was a dick move, and you know it," I say. The woman turns from the fireplace to me and sets her glass on a table. She walks, somehow straight, towards me and glares down at me.
"Look here. Just because you're going to be across my room for the rest of these years because of your condition, don't think that I'll treat you special because of it. You're still a student here and I'm sorry you can't get it in your perfect fucking head that I'm the Dean of the School for Evil. I mean come on!" She scoffed.
"Does that mean anything? Of course I would waste your time it's fucking hilarious," Lesso, whether because she was drunk or not, leaned forward slightly each word until we were finally close enough that I could count her eyelashes.
"Whatever." I say turning my gaze down. Lesso leaned forward making me step back and this happened until I was out in the hall.
"Knock next time asshole," she leaned back and slammed the door. Again. And this time, I heard the click of the door. Meaning she had locked it.
I turned to my room and took out my key. I turned and twisted until finally I heard the click of the door. I opened the door to my bags on a vanity, boxes in a corner, and a pretty decent looking bed.
I set the key and heels of hell on the vanity and plopped down face first into the mattress.
I was ready for sleep to consume me and pull me under.
That was until the fucking window got shot out by something. The shattering of glass made me flinch and plug my ears.
"Was zum Teufel?!" I whispered, screamed out. I looked over to my window, and it was definitely unreparable.
An arrow with a note attached to it stuck to the other wall opposite to the broken window. A little frustrated, I walked to the arrow and pulled it off the wall.
Look outside.
Was all it said. I turned to the window and looked out. I sighed at the site of Ravenn, looking at me with her hands on her hips and a smug smirk.
"What the he-!" Ravenna puts a finger over her mout, motioning me to shut up, and I shut my mouth.
She pointed to the note and wrote on a separate piece of parchment. I looked back down at the words forming on the page.
Get to the Evers school and go to the garden. We'll meet there.
I looked back up from the paper, but the woman vanished. I rolled my eyes at her stunt and groaned when I realized i wouldnt be able to sleep tongiht.
"Okay asshole what do you want," I ask as I walk into the garden. At this time the garden looks beautiful glowing in the moonlight. I would have admired it but at the moment I just want to beat a certain gingered woman.
