I woke up the next morning really confused.
I was in my bed with my pajamas on but I honestly don't remember doing any of those things.
I got changed into a black and white romper and put my hair into a quick messy bun. I applied light make up and brushed my teeth before heading off to a graduation party with my family.
we drove to my cousins house and I could already tell there was going to be a lot of people.
"hey, Susan!" my aunt yelled, coming out of the house to greet us.
"hi Marie!" my mom said, giving her a hug.
I walked away and joined everyone in the backyard.
"hey y/n" my cousin said.
"hey Catherine" I replied.
"omg I have someone for you to meet. he's really cute" she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the side yard.
"y/n this is nick. nick this is y/n" she said.
nick was tall, had brown hair and green eyes, and was really cute.
"hey" he said.
"hi" I replied back.
I gave Catherine a "what the hell" look but she ignored it.
"so y/n, are you here to join us in some fun?" he asked, smirking.
"what do you me-" I tried to say but he grabbed my hand and lead me into a part of the woods behind the shed.
"Catherine what are we doing?" I asked her.
before she answered, nick pulled out some cigarettes and some beer.
"cmon I've never done this" I said, starting to walk away but he pulled me back.
"just try one and have a few sips" he said, pecking me on the cheek.
I sighed and then lit a cigarette and put it in my mouth.
It felt good to just let all my problems and worries go. I smoked a couple more and then drank...a lot.
let's just say we were all passed out in the back of the shed before someone found us.
I heard some faint whispering and discussion.
"why would your son have access to this?" my dad asked.
"I have no idea where he found this. it's not ours. we don't smoke or drink" the man replied.
"I'm taking her home now, goodnight" my dad said.
I felt someone carrying me and then placing me in the car but I was way too wasted to even open my eyes.
I'm a bit underage to smoke, I'm 17 almost 18 but way underage to start drinking.
I felt my dad place me on my bed and shut the door.
I finally opened my eyes and it was dark and blurry. my head hurt really bad and I felt dizzy.
I felt really nauseous so I ran into my bathroom and threw up.
I just wanted to sleep and not wake up.
Matt's pov
-------------
I laid in my bed, awake and alert of my surroundings.
I was thinking about y/n and how I've treated her over the past few days.
"matt" my brother said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"what?" I asked.
"it's time" he said and walked away.
by "it's time" he meant it's time to go hunting. I haven't hunted yet. all I've done is take out my hunger with exercise.
"I don't know how to, I've never been hunting before" I said, running outside after him.
"it's easy. stalk, attack, kill. if u follow those steps, your good" he said and ran off into the woods with the rest of my family.
I ran after them and then stopped when they did.
"shh, it's a deer" my dad said.
I suddenly thought about killing an animal and it all went downhill from there.
I ran out of the woods and found myself in y/n's yard.
it's funny how I always end up here, even when I'm in my toughest times. even when she's beyond pissed at me.
I jumped up into her window but she wasn't in bed.
"y/n" I whispered, climbing into her room.
I looked around and she wasn't there. I decided to sit on her bed and see if she showed up in the next 10 minutes. I noticed a small book on her desk. I walked over to it and picked it up, opening the cover. I sat back down on the bed and started reading the first page. it read: "dear diary, today was the first day back to high school and it didn't go to well. well, except for the fact that I talked to a boy named matt. I didn't know a boy could have that type of affect on me. well, thanks for listening diary. it's not like u can actually hear me but how else am I supposed to get my feelings out. until next time."
I closed the book, realizing what I just did. I read her personal business. the business she obviously didn't want anyone else but herself knowing.
I placed the book back in the right spot and then sighed.
I heard her bedroom door open. I turned towards it to see a hungover y/n standing in the doorway. I walked over to her, smiling the biggest smile possible.
"w-what are you d-doing here" she asked, falling into my arms.
"shh, I got you. your fine now" I said, lifting her up and carrying her bridal style.
"I don't f-feel g-good" she said, as I placed her on her bed.
I laid down next to her, wrapping her in my arms and putting my head on her shoulder.
"go to sleep. it'll all be okay in the morning" I said, placing a soft kiss on her head.
I was in for a rude awakening in the morning.
