Chapter 14

we sped down the highway towards the address that Wayne had in his phone.
84 Sampson road stuck in my head the whole way there. I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do if any vampires went after me but I guess I would just do what I did with Wayne.
"so do you think she's at the address?" I asked them.
"hopefully" Alex said.
we pulled into a dirt driveway and drove up to a small cabin.
"well, here goes nothing" Matt said getting out of the car.
he stood in front of me, holding my hand. we all walked up to the front door but then Alex stopped us.
"wait no. there's probably a back door which would be less obvious" he said, walking to the back of the house.
"wouldn't this way be more direct though?" Matt mentioned.
"are you the oldest? no. so your listening to me. the back door is always the best way to go" Alex said.
Matt shrugged at me and I held onto him tighter.
"we're gonna be okay" he said, kissing the top of my head.
"I know" I replied.
we walked up the stairs to the back door but it was locked of course.
"check under the mat" I suggested.
he lifted up the mat and a key was laying there.
"your useful for something" Alex said and winked at me.
Matt rolled his eyes and then smiled at me.
Alex opened the door slowly and then signaled for us to be as quiet as possible.
"there will most likely be someone here guarding so just keep watch of everything" Alex whispered to us.
we made our way through the kitchen and then stopped in the living room.
there was just a tv and a couch but something seemed strange. there was a picture on the wall of two guys and a girl. I saw that Matt and Alex noticed this too.
"who are the people in that picture?" I asked.
"I recognize Wayne and Thomas but the girl doesn't look familiar" Matt said.
"oh but I do. that's Jen...she's also a leader with Wayne and Thomas" Alex explained.
we continued searching the house until we found the basement door.
"I think I'll just stay up here" I said.
"no, I won't leave you alone. it's better to stay together" Matt said.
I agreed and we slowly made our way down the long steps into the dark basement. it wasn't a finished basement which made it ten times more creepy. there were two chairs in the middle of the floor with rope attached to them.
"it looks like someone already escaped whatever was going on here" Matt said.
"no wait" Alex said, walking over to a open door.
we followed behind him, checking our surroundings every once in awhile.
there was a dim light coming from the room.
Alex creaked open the door and there she was, sitting in a chair with chains around her.
"Leslie!" Alex yelled.
Alex ran over to her and tried to rip the chains but they weren't budging.
"you really thought it would be that easy?" a man from behind us said.
"Thomas give us Leslie back" Matt said.
"I'm good. I'd rather just make her suffer and now that I have you three here, I'd like to make you suffer too" Thomas said smirking.
"no, not her. just me and Alex. she's not one of us" Matt said, gesturing towards me.
"idc what the hell she is. idc if I kill her. idc if she suffers ten times worse than you two do. do you get that idc?" Thomas said.
"you won't fucking touch her" Matt said.
"watch me" Thomas said and lunged towards me but Matt jumped in the way and pushed him backwards into the wall.
"I said no!" Matt screamed and jumped at Thomas, grabbing him and throwing him across the room.
Alex grabbed a metal saw from the corner and cut through some of the chains but Thomas spotted him.
he ran at Alex and slammed him against the wall, biting into his neck.
Matt grabbed Thomas and held him by his neck and bit into him, causing Thomas to fall.
"y/n run" Matt yelled.
I ran into the other room and ran upstairs, leaving the house to get to Alex's car.
{Matt's pov}
I saw y/n run upstairs and I knew she would be okay as long as we kept Thomas down here.
Thomas tried running for y/n but I jumped in his way as he bit down on my neck, not letting go of me. he wrapped his hands around my head and twisted but I suddenly felt a release of pressure. Alex threw Thomas across the room and into the shelf, knocking it over.
"go with y/n, I've got this" Alex said.
"no I'm not leaving you. you need help" Matt said.
"go!" Alex yelled as he jumped on Thomas, twisting his neck.
"I've got this" Alex said.
I ran upstairs but then I saw Alex peer around the corner.
"is he dead?" I asked him.
"yeah, I just need help with Leslie" Alex said.
{Y/n's pov}
I got in Alex's car and turned it on so we could get away fast once they came out.
I sat waiting for them for over 10 minutes and I started to get worried.
All of a sudden the car jolted and a big noise thumped on top of the car.
I looked towards the back of the car but there was nothing there. as I turned around, a woman appeared in the front of the car.
she was tall and skinny and definitely looked like she could be a vampire.
she walked over to my window and smirked.
"looks like they left one behind" she said.
"please, I'm only waiting. I'm not one of you" I said, my voice shaking.
"it's okay...it'll only hurt a little bit" she said and opened the car door and dragged me out of the car.
she picked me up by my neck and smiled.
"have fun" was all she said and then bit into my neck, not letting go. I screamed as she sucked my blood. she continued for more than 30 seconds and I knew that my life as a human would be over. all she had to do was have me drink her blood and I'd be turned. I knew she wasn't going to kill me. she wanted me to be a vampire so I could suffer.
she let go of me and dropped me to the ground. if she didn't have me drink her blood, I would've been dead.
she bite her arm and put it up to my mouth forcing me to drink it.
I drank her blood and I immediately felt different. I laid on the ground as she ran away. I laid there motionless, letting everything happen to my body. my mouth hurt and I figured my fangs were growing in. I screamed as they ripped through my mouth. then my eyes turned a different color and I could tell because I could feel it within my eyes. my whole body felt heightened. my emotions, my strength, my speed...it was all heightened.
I continued to lay on the ground as Matt and Alex came out of the house. Matt ran towards me screaming as he saw the blood on the ground next to me.
I closed my eyes and all the pain suddenly left my body. I wanted to be dead but I knew that wasn't an option.
