Chapter 19

I picked up my notebook of my desk and started writing everything I was feeling. I wrote down my emotions, my opinions, and my thoughts. I set my notebook down back on my nightstand and clicked off the light. I rested my head onto my pillow and pulled the blanket over my body, getting comfortable. I shut my eyes and soon fell asleep, the images of Matt's face popping up in my head when I broke up with him. I was suddenly awoken from the sound of something banging. I pulled the covers off of me and I suddenly felt cool air hit my body. I walked over to my window and closed it, realizing it was just a branch making the noise I heard. I turned back around to get into bed but someone grabbed me and pressed me against the wall. "Fuck Matt, stop" I said, pushing him off me. "How did you even get in here without me noticing?" I asked. "that's one benefit of being a vampire" he smirked. I sat back down on my bed and ran my fingers through my hair. "Matt stay away please, I don't have feelings for you anymore and I don't want to be in this relationship" I said, holding back my tears. "I just don't get how someone's feelings can go away that fast" he said, sitting down next to me. "They didn't, they've been gone for awhile" I said. "oh" was all he said and then got up. "I guess I'll leave you alone then. I'm sorry for whatever I did y/n. I love you" he said and then jumped down out my window. I laid back down in bed and put my hands over my face. he's never going to forgive me. I woke up the next morning with tear stains on my face. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and then put my hair into a bun. I cleaned myself up to make myself feel better about what I did last night.

me: Matt, please stop making this harder than it has to be
Matt: no, I want to know what I did wrong. Please tell me
me: no
Matt: y/n, plz
me: fine Matt, you forced me to be like you. you let me be turned into one of you. you left me to fend for myself when u knew I could get hurt. I like human blood the most now thanks to you and now I got myself caught up in all these fucking tasks that I have to complete
Matt: wow okay, I'm sorry y/n
I picked up my phone and placed it on my desk, picking up my journal. I threw it across the room, the pages still staying in tack.
I slammed my door shut and ran downstairs, out my front door, and into the woods. I rested up against a tree and caught my breath, realizing that I was thirsty.
I heard a noise to my left and whipped my head over to it to see a deer. I jumped onto the deer and fed. I ran out of the woods and found myself at Matt's house. I had to tell him that this was all just one of the tasks that I'm supposed to complete.
I jumped up into his bedroom window and saw him lying on his bed with headphones in his ears, tears running down his face.
"Matt" I said, knocking on the window. he rushed over and opened the window, letting me inside.
"what are you doing here" he asked.
"telling you that we're over" I said.
I leaned into him, giving him a hug.
"Matt, this is one of my tasks...to break up with you. this is all fake so please just go along with it until the tasks are completed. okay? I've already completed this one obviously so I'm almost finished with them and they will be over soon. I've completed this one in less than a day so I'm doing good" I whispered in his ear, pulling away from the hug to give him a look.
"okay, I'll miss you" he said and then embraced me in another hug.
"They obviously can't see us if we go in the bathroom where there is no windows" Matt said, whispering.
"No, they are vampires Matt. they will know. it's best for you and me so we don't get hurt or our families don't get hurt" I said and then pulled away for a final time.
"I'll always love you" I said and then walked towards his window.
"I will always love you too y/n" he said and then shut the window behind me.
I climbed down his tree and jumped down to the ground, making my way back home.
