Chapter 41: Begin the Beast Hunts

NEST base No POV

Fowler drove an experimental truck inside the base as Optimus was waiting for him.

Fowler: Prime, what we have here is an experimental all-terrain expeditionary fighting vehicle designed by the finest engineers in our Mass Division.

Optimus: thank you, Agent Fowler. This will most certainly do.

Fowler moved out of the way as Optimus scanned the vehicle to make it into his alt mode.

The next day

The Team was at their new base as Ratchet and Raf were testing out the Ground Bridge they build as they activated it to bring Ultra Magnus, WheelJack, and IronHide through.

Raf; return trajectory fluctuations have been stabilized.

Ratchet: Ultra Magnus, we are ready to receive you.

Ultra Magnus went through first in his alt mode which was a cargo truck almost similar to Optimus's old alt form but different in model as he had a singular box of Energon that Bee grabbed letting Ultra Magnus transform.

Magnus; we didn't find much of par in the rubble of the former base.

WheelJack:<holding the lob ball> you call this not much else?

WheelJack throws it at Bulkhead which bounces off him and goes to hit Elita but Indominus caught it with its jaw as he set it down and growled at WheelJack.

Red Alert; watch where you are throwing that!

Ratchet: WheelJack! You could have caused serious damage to Elita-One!

Lennox and the other soldiers were up on the catwalk watching this go on.

Magnus; what were you thinking soldier?

WheelJack: I was thinking Bulk could catch that lob.

Magnus: allow me to make myself clear, as Optimus Prime's second-in-command, I have no intention of tolerating Wrecker behavior.

WheelJack; some things never change.

Bulkhead: Jackie..

Magnus; need I remind you that it was Optimus Prime himself who assigned me to command your Wreckers back on Cybertron and get you loose cannons under control. An effective combat unit begins with discipline, if you won't accept that, feel free to choose the path of least resistance as you did before.

WheelJack; if my ship weren't in a twisted wreck at present, I'd do that, sir. <walks away>

BloodSport; guess he really hates authority.

Magnus: so... any word from Optimus?

Ratchet: he's investigating recent Decepticon activity. Hopefully an Energon mine.

Elsewhere

Optimus flew through the air and landed on a cave opening where his body wouldn't fit through. He transforms into his new alt form and drives inside.

Base

Miko: how rad would it be if you all had jet packs like Optimus?

Epps: does this kid not listen to what was said before?

IronHide: we know.

Ratchet: quite rad, Miko, but as stated before, the Forge has been depleted of its power to do that.

Bulkhead: now it's only good for pounding out dings.

They hear a car driving over as two soldiers opened the gates to let it through as the car model was Smokescreen's but with a blue paint job and a secondary yellow color, still looks like a race car.
