Rhea 🖤🍑: Are you serious Lauren?

Rhea 🖤🍑: Tell me where you are.

Rhea 🖤🍑: For fucks sake. Lauren, you have no idea how angry I am right now.

I ignored her messages, opening the other one.

RV Park Lady (Miranda?) : I can try and find it for you, it may take a few days to go through all the footage. That's ok?

I'd gotten into contact with the owner of the park, wondering if she could give me the security footage of that night. I thought there must be something on there that I could see. I honestly don't know how it's taken me this long to ask her.

This park was smaller. But... somehow cozier. But I still had a little trouble sleeping and would check the locks on my door multiple times before getting into bed.

Lauren: Thank you, that's great.

And I put my phone to the side, lying down on the bed for minutes, just staring at the room. Wondering what the hell I was gonna eventually say to Rhea. I knew she'd change and feel better, and she's be like this. Wanting me again, but my heart still hurt remembering how she just broke up with me. Then I was frightened that she could suddenly do it again when she was going through a phase. God, I loved her. But is that something I wanna do? Every couple of months?

Suddenly, my phone began to ring and I pulled the worst face at the image of my mother calling me. What the fuck?

"Hello?" I answered it, trying to work out what time it would be over there, maybe the afternoon sometime?

"Hey, darling. How's it going? Sorry I haven't been able to ring for a while. Busy, you know?" She said.

"Um yeah- I'm good. What's going on?"

"Oh, just finishing up work for the day. An early one so I thought I'd call you and see how you're going? How's the- how's the bike stuff?" She couldn't sound any less pleased asking that.

But I just answered what she wanted to know, eventually telling her where I was staying right now and then receiving a lecture about how it could be unsafe there. To lock my doors of the RV she hates. Maybe look into getting an apartment or something. She even asked about a boyfriend, and then Gunnar, because he was in my life last time I spoke to her. She definitely didn't like him too.

It was nearly 10pm, and I had devoured half a pizza with too much iced tea I swear I wouldn't be going to sleep anytime soon.

I grabbed my phone and opened my socials, scrolling for nothing in particular. I have no idea how long passed, but I actually fell asleep, eventually waking up to some random video playing right by my ear, startling me.

No, that's not what startled me.

It was the roaring bike engine that just pulled up outside.

Shit.

I scrambled to check the time on my phone, and it was 2:02am.

No way it was-

I crawled across the bed and peeled out of the window, seeing a very angry Rhea basically throwing her bike helmet off and onto the ground, when she turned, she spotted me through the window.

I never ducked quicker, groaning at the thought of what she was about to say to me.

2 seconds later, she banged at my door with her fist. "Let me in, Lauren! I've only been looking for you for 5 fucking hours!"

I made some disgruntled groaning sound, but slowly got up and headed to the door, closing my eyes as I unlocked it. I didn't even open, she opened it and forced her way inside. I stepped back and she stood in front of me, glaring at me. Shutting, no slamming the door behind her and crossing her arms. "You think it's funny do you?" She took a step closer. "Do you know how many fucking parks I've been to huh?" Her eyes creased in frustration more. "Twelve, Lauren. I've been to twelve around the city, searching for this- she looked around. "This stupid fucking RV. Where you shouldn't be, you should be with me at my house, Lauren."
