Chapter 1

"Audrey!" Caitlin happily squealed when she opened the door of her apartment. "What are you doing here?" She asked pulling me into a hug. "I'm visiting you, duh." I laughed. "Come in." She said walking into her apartment. Everything was how I remembered. Neat and clean. "You want something to drink." She asked walking to the kitchen. "Yes please, do you have coffee?" I asked. "Of course." I heard her say in the kitchen. I walked to the living room and took place on the couch. A few minutes later Caitlin walked in with two coffee, she gave me one of the mugs and sat down next to me.
"How long do you want to stay?" She asked. "I booked a hotel room for a week, but maybe I'll stay longer." I told her. "Hotel?" She asked surprised. "Are you crazy, you can stay here." Said to me. "No, no, Cait. I don't want to bother you." I explained. "Nonsense, cancel your reservation, you're staying with me." She smiled at me. "Okay, I will."

"Yes, I know it is last minute." I said to lady on the phone. "Something came up." I told her. "Yes, thanks you, bye." I sighed.
"Something wrong?" Caitlin asked. "They weren't happy that I canceled." I responded. She laughed. "Don't laugh, it's your fault." I pouted. "I'm sorry, I'll make it up. I will pay dinner tonight." She promised. "Deal." I agreed.

We heard a knock on the door. "Dinner is ready." Caitlin announced, she stood op and walked to the door. Not much later she walked in with a pizza box. "Smells good." I said. Caitlin opened the box and revealed a delicious looking pizza. She smiled at me after my stomach rattled. Immediately I grabbed a piece. In silent we were enjoying our pizzas. "You know what I noticed." I said. She gave me a questioning look. "You smile more." I told her. "Ronnie's dead was the worst thing in my life." She slowly said. "But I'm trying to move on. I'll be OK." She said giving me a small smile. "You deserve it to be happy, Cait." I whispered, giving her a hug. "So do you." She mumbled.
