With a huge grin I walked out the store. I wasn't paying much attention and accidentally bumped into someone. "Sorry." I mumbled. "Audrey?" The person asked. I looked up, before me stood a handsome man with black hair and beautiful green eyes, he was around 6'2 tall and was muscular. "Never thought I'd see you again." He laughed. "Of course you are very happy to see me, right?" I teased. "Couldn't be happier." He said smiling. I rolled my eyes. "Why are you in Central, Alex?" I asked him. "Business." He said. "Where do you need to be, maybe I can walk with you?" He asked. "I was just going for a walk." I said smiling. His phone buzzed. "I have an appointment apparently." He said, he seemed disappointed. "Our paths will cross again." I smiled. "Definitely." I said with a smile. He bit his lip and thought for a second. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" He suddenly blurted out. "Of course." I smiled. "How about tonight? At 7 at Jitters?" He suggested. "Sounds great." I smiled. "Perfect, but I really need to go now." He said. "Okey, bye." I smiled. He grabbed my hand and pressed a quick kiss on it. After that he waved and quickly ran away.
"Audrey, what did you do?" Caitlin asked shocked. "I cut my hair." I said with the biggest smile ever. Caitlin kept staring at me with like I was crazy. "Do you like it?" I asked nervously. I had cut my long hair to a shoulder length bob. She was still looking for words. "I needed something else." I said proudly. "Crushing on superheroes doesn't fit in my life anymore." I mumbled irritated after it. "You're in denial." Caitlin stated. "What would I want to deny?" I whispered sarcastically. Caitlin didn't seem to notice my sarcasm. "You are in love with Barry Allen, aka the Flash." Caitlin slowly spoke. "Stop, now." I said. "Audrey, you need to accept it." Caitlin said softly. "No, what I need is to move on and find a normal relationship." I said articulating clearly. Caitlin looked like she was thinking about what she wanted to say. "I ran into Alex today. I'm having a date tonight." I announced. "Alex Meyer? You're childhood crush?" She asked amused. "He grew up well." I defended myself. She just laughed and shook her head.
"I'm leaving." I shouted. "Have fun." She shouted. I shut the door behind me and walked to Jitters. I wore a simple black dress with heels. "Axel, hey." I greeted him. "Hey." He smiled. "You definitely look stunning." He complimented. "You look pretty handsome yourself." I said flirty. "Hey." I suddenly heard. "Barry? What are you doing here?" I asked confused. "I borrow her for a second." He announced, pulling me with him. "I'm saving you from a date with that asshole." He said chuckling. "Are you drunk?" I asked. "No, I can't get drunk." He laughed. "Why do you hate Alex?" I asked Barry irritated. "No, never mind. I won't let you ruin my date." I said. I walked away.
"Sorry Alex." I apologized. "No problem." He said giving me one of his gorgeous smiles. "Let's go." He said. I grabbed his hand and together we walked out of Jitters. We were just walking and talking until he suddenly pulled me into an alley. "Alex? What are you doing?" I asked confused, and slightly scared. "He'll be here any minute." Alex murmured. "Alex, You're hurting me." I said, I felt his nails dig into my arm. He laughed. I felt something cold on my wrist. "Handcuffs?" I asked, I tried to hide my fear. "Good to see you, Flash." I heard Alex suddenly hiss. There stood Barry in his Flash costume. "Let her go." Barry said, he spoke soft but clear. "I am afraid I can't do that." Alex said chuckling. His hand stoke over my cheek. "She is quite lovely, isn't she?" He asked, I could feel his smirk against my ear. He lowered his hand to my throat. I looked down. His nails grew, they were long and animal-like. "It's a pity though. I could have a lot of fun with her." He murmured against my cheek. "Let her go." Barry slowly repeated. I saw he tried to control his anger. "Don't try anything, I will rip her throat out." Alex promised. "Leave." I told Barry. As a reward I felt Alex' nails slightly press into my neck. "You want to fight, Alex? Fight me, but let her go." Barry slowly said. I felt Alex was hesitating so I used the moment to hit his chest with my elbow. It didn't hurt him much but he let go of me so I could run away. I was almost at Barry when I heard an angry growl behind me. I slowly turned around, Alex back was bent and he was breathing heavily. He looked up and his eyes glowed in a bright green color. He growled and I saw his teeth grow. "Time to leave." I heard Barry say and not even a second later the world was one big blur full of colors.
