Chapter 12

"Audrey. Please get out of bed." Caitlin begged. I didn't respond. "It's been a week, Dre." She said. "Leave me alone to drown in my own sadness." I groaned. She walked out the room.
"I know you're working on something, but I really need your help." I vaguely heard Caitlin said. I groaned and pulled my blanket over my head. I had no idea how much time there had passed but at a certain moment Caitlin walked in my room. "Audrey?" Caitlin asked. My head slowly popped up. "What?" I asked annoyed. Next to Caitlin there was standing an unknown blonde. "Who the hell are you?" I asked. "This is Felicity, she is Barry's friend." Caitlin told me. "I have a lot of negative feelings towards Barry. Why would I want to befriend his friends?" I asked irritated. Felicity giggled. "Good luck." I heard Caitlin sigh, and she left.

"She has clothes on and we're going outside." Felicity proudly said on the phone. I sighed. I didn't know why I agreed on this anymore. Maybe because Felicity was charismatic and her enthusiasm was contagious. Together we walked to Jitters. We ordered our drinks and sat down by a table. "So, you hate Barry?" Felicity asked. "He annoys me." I said shrugging my shoulders. "But Barry is always so nice to everyone." She said. "One moment he is nice and then he acts like I just murdered his puppy or something." I mumbled. In an awkward silence we sat there, and I felt guilty because I was so rude to her this morning. "Where are you from?" I asked to break the ice. "I'm from Starling. Have you ever been there?" She asked. "Yes, I've lived there for a while." I said. The awkward silence continued. "Why are you in Central?" I asked. "I'm helping in S.T.A.R. Labs." She said, now a bit reticent. "Are you here alone?" I asked, trying to avoid the silence. "I'm here with my boyfriend, Ray." She said smiling. "Do you have a boyfriend?" She asked. I couldn't help but think about the Flash. "No." I quickly answered. "Then why are you blushing?" She asked with a small smile. I was thinking or I should tell her, someone placed our mugs on the table. "Do you think the Arrow exist?" I asked, lowering my voice. "Yes! I mean, maybe. It might be possible." She said. "We have someone like that here too, he's called the Flash." I told her. She didn't look chocked. "And your crushing on the superhero?" She asked with a smile. I nodded and her smile grew. "This is so cute." She mumbled. Quietly we drank our drinks. "I have to pee." Felicity announced and stood up. Smiling I shook my head. Suddenly her phone, which lied on the table, started to buzz.
Incoming call, Barry Allen.

I answered. "Felicity? We have a problem." Barry said. "This is Audrey." I said. "Hey, how are you?" He asked uncomfortable. "Fine. What's the problem?" I said. He didn't respond. "Audrey, tell Felicity to come to the lab. Immediately." Caitlin suddenly interrupted. "Fine." I grumbled and hung up. Felicity came back from the toilet. "Barry called. You need to go to S.T.A.R. Labs." I told her. Her eyes widened. "I'm sorry, but it's urgent." She apologized grabbing her stuff. "Don't worry about it." I mumbled.

It was dark by now. It was raining and I was freezing. So I decided to take the shortcut. Which meant I walked trough a dark alley. But I was cold, annoyed and soaked. I thought I heard a soft growl behind me. I stopped walking and turned around. I saw nothing and wanted to walk away but I heard it again. A loud growl, it was like a big animal. I looked around, I was shaking but I didn't know or it was because I was cold or scared. I saw two bright green eyes, and they weren't human. I started running. And suddenly I was cornered. In front of me there was a big wall. Just like on my sides. Quickly
I dialed Caitlin's number and I faced the direction I came from. A black puma slowly walked to me, his head low and angry. "Audrey?" I heard Caitlin ask. "Please help me." I cried. The puma suddenly jumped and his nails sank into my shoulders. I screamed in pain. I tried to push the puma off me but because of that he scratched open my whole upper arm. I screamed. After that the puma just ran off. Blood gushed from my arm. I didn't want to die in an old alley from blood loss. "Audrey, stay with me." I heard someone say next to me. I blinked. "Flash." I said. After that everything slowly went black.
