Himeka had begun working on the soundtrack of 15 Years Lie. She had written down many ideas, erased some, thrown drafts away, and made new ones. For such a movie, she could not mess it up. She had to transcribe the vibe of the movie and what it denounces in a song. It was not easy as many taboo topics were discussed and she also had to take into consideration that the soundtrack had to sell the movie. It will be an element used to promote it and incite people to go to theaters to watch the movie. She also had to capture Ai's essence and personality as the movie was about her life. There were many stakes.

The search for love. It was something everyone went through, to different degrees. The desire to be loved, the desire to love. Love was a very beautiful and sweet thing that could quickly turn toxic. Love comes in all different forms, the most common being family love. But because it is the most common, it is often hard to accept that some parents do not like their kids, or that the siblings do not like each other. Because, to everyone, it is normal to love someone with whom you share blood. It is normal to wish to protect someone with whom you share blood.

But sometimes, those who are supposed to be your safe place become the reason for your pain. It was a reality difficult to accept. Especially for the very children that face it. Hoshizora faced it. Growing up with both parents being absent and then being raised by her grandmother from the age of eight. She had often wondered why her parents preferred to go gambling rather than attend her school events, or simply care for her. Eventually, they died. And eventually, she realized that they had never cared for her and that she now did not care about her. Ai faced it too. She had had to accept that her own mother did not love her. She left her in an orphanage and never looked back. But unlike Hoshizora, Ai did not have any other relative to care for her. She was left alone wondering why her mother never came back. So her search for love continued and when she finally found it, her life was taken away.

This desire to love and this desire to be loved was what Himeka had to put in a song. And it was no easy task.

Himeka sighed and stretched her limbs. She had been trying to compose an instrumental for the songs for hours already. She believed that, since she was still not very certain about the lyrics, she could be luckier with the instrumentals that could have triggered inspiration. But nope. Though she had ideas, it was still difficult to put words on it.

Perhaps seeing the first few scenes live and seeing the actors playing would help her find the right words. Talking about it, Himeka had also had a conversation with her parents. They had assumed Aqua had her authorization when he came to ask for information about Natsuhiko and told them about the movie. To be fair, Himeka had never really told them that she and Aqua had fallen apart. So she was also partially at fault in the quid pro quo, that was what she believed. Himeka shook the thoughts away. It was useless to think about it anymore. She shouldn't focus on the past and work on the song. Now that she had graduated from high school, she could completely focus on her career. Her schedule would more or less be empty for the next few months as Director Gotanda had also asked for her supervision regarding the scenes that concerned her brother, so she would often visit the set to monitor Leo who had been cast as Natsuhiko. The only downside about all of this was that she would have to see Aqua quite often. It would be rather awkward.

Himeka closed the software and stood up. She had to leave to get ready for the Diamond Family Festival and only when this was over, she will be able to fully focus on the soundtrack.

Kana let out a sigh as she exited the studio. She had gotten a job as an actress thanks to Director Masanori Shima. It was still a crazy turn of events when she thought about it. He made a move on her and tried to sleep with her but she ended up thinking about Leo and ranting out about how frustrated she was about not knowing whether or not he was flirting or just being kind. But because she went to his house, she got photographed by a paparazzi which pushed Aqua to reveal the truth about Ai. Though, if she was being honest, she believed that he had just taken advantage of the situation. Of course, he considered her his friend but she knew he did that mainly because it would benefit him. But she would not complain. The article about her never got out.
