It had been four months since the Japan Idol Festival. B-Komachi's streaming work was doing great thanks to Mem-cho. The group was having concerts regularly. They were slowly but meticulously growing themselves a fanbase. Opal had helped them a little by sharing videos of their JIF performance as well as posting pictures with them on her Instagram. But the features with Ruby really brought more light to them and a portion of the Gems turned fans of B-Komachi.
What got the people talking, however, was her music career. Opal had just released her new EP called "Shades of a Broken Heart". All songs charted well and fans adored it. Two months prior, she had posted a pre-release song called 'Just Be Friends' and it had been such a success that the music video had reached 15 million views in one day which was twice the amount of views she got for her previous releases. But it was nothing compared to the success her title track, 'Overdose', got. In only a month after it's release, it got twice as many views in a day. Himeka had to admit, that she had not expected such a success and was quite surprised when her song then played in radios, coffee shops, and even malls. Her previous music videos had never passed the 35 million views bar.
One track had specifically stood out for one reason (besides how good the song was): Leo featured on it. Prior to the release of 'Shades of a Broken Heart', Leo had released his album which had also been a success. His feature with Luke and the one with Opal expectedly went viral and charted well alongside his title track. Surprisingly for Diamond Entertainment, the collaboration with Opal had been taken quite well and even got fans wishing to see more of the two together. They were hoping to see more collaborations in the future which, in a financial aspect, was a very good thing for the company. So when their second dropped, 'Katsubuki-san', it got their fans overjoyed as they had loved their previous collaborations "Why do you like me?". It also meant that Opal was getting recognized by her peers and getting bigger and bigger as an artist which was a pride for her fans. But of course, not everyone was supportive of the collaboration and the fact that they released two features together in a short time caused rumors of romance between the two artists.
Luckily, this was quickly overshadowed by the announcement of Opal's First Arena Tour which was set to begin soon. She and the company had released a special lightstick for the occasion. Since Diamond Entertainment was structured in a similar way as a K-pop company, the label decided to manufacture special lightsticks designed to represent their artists. Opal was the first one in the company to have one. It was similar to a princess scepter with a heart-shaped opal gem that contained an LED light. Connected by Bluetooth, the lightstick would flash in rhythm with the music. Of course, for the company, the lightstick was just a way to get more money from the fans and it did work. The lightstick sold incredibly well. As the tour was about to start, everyone wanted to show support for Hime but also to get a stronger sense of belonging and community with the fandom.
