You are the broken
The shattered and torn
The one I must save
Or the one I will mournFor when the world fades to black
It may end your sorrow
But for one such as you
I'm obliged to followYou want to be heard
To be in control
I want you to hear me
And the words I have toldAs you read this
It may be obvious to know
You're the one I write out to
The version of you from so long agoYou're not broken quite yet
It's not too late
My fingers fly
Tears slide down my faceJust know
You'll never be broken
Only a little bent
Until you give up
And you're buried beneath cement
