What are Trevor Zegras and Quinn Hughes doing here?.... I was thinking about that but then realised Jack was looking right at me. When he noticed I was looking at him he quickly looked away and pretend to be listening to whatever the others were talking about.

"You know Trevor Zegras and you together would be so cute" Luna said, which made me look back to her. "Huh".

"I said you and Trevor would be cute together, we can ask Luke to set you guys up!"

I shaked my head while Luna was talking about a planned date blah blah blah. I looked over my shoulder one more time before leaving the cafe. Jack looked like shit... he was pale and had bags under his eyes, I guess he celebrated too much last night what a loser.

Next day

It was an early morning today, I was going to visit my parents in New York today and I had to catch an early train. I was staying there for a whole week and I was pretty excited. I hadn't seen my parents and my little sister in months! I said goodbye to Luna and took the bus to the train station.

The train was busy which I found really annoying. Even with noise cancelling headphones I still couldn't focus on my podcast. I groaned when I was hit with a bag for what felt like the hundredth time. I hate trains, they take so long, but they are good for the environment. Luna made me take a train because she is trying to live as environment friendly as possible, god why did I let her drag me into this.

I finally arrived in New York and that is where my parents were picking me up. When I saw my parents and little sister I totally forgot about the shitty drive. Amber starts running to me and jumps into my arms as I give her a big hug. "I missed you so much Amber, you grew so much!" Amber smiled widely when she heard the she grew. "I am going to be taller than every boy in my grade" she said proudly. After I greeted my parents it was time to drive home. We lived in a big apartment, which I missed a lot. My apartment in NJ is big but it is just so empty without my family..

"Rory dear come sit on the couch with me and tell me everything about NJ" my mom said, patting on the empty spot on the couch.

I explained what I was doing for the Devils and how much I enjoyed it. I also talked about the new friends that I've made.

"Well have you met a cute boy yet?" Mom asked.

"No not really" I shrugged "but I'm not really searching anyways.

"That's great! Because I invited over Danny, maybe you can pick up the spark you once left" mom said smiling.

Danny was my first boyfriend.. he actually was my first everything. But then he made out with who I thought was my best friend, so I broke up with him. I never dared to tell my mom the real reason though, because she was so font of him and I didn't want to ruin the picture.

"Mom I don't feel like having visitors" I said

"Well too bad because he is already on his way".

Around 20 minutes later our doorbell rang and Danny walked in. "Hey Rory it is so good to see you!" He said while going in for a hug. I hug back awkwardly "yeah...." He looked me up and down "you get prettier every year Rory". My mom smiled when he said that, she probably thinks we will get back together and get married or something. gross.

Dinner was awkward, everything was awkward. Danny was talking about himself a lot and I just realised he has always done that. How have I survived?!?!? After dinner we went to play some board games, which I lost of course.

Finally Danny had to get home. I walked him to the door and he stepped out. "It was really nice seeing you Rory... I really missed you" he said. He started to lean in closer like he was going to kiss me, but then I realised he IS leaning closer because he IS trying to kiss me. Just before he got close enough my phone started to ring. Danny pulled away quickly, said bye and walked off.

I grabbed my phone from my pocket to see who just saved me by calling me. I was shocked when I saw whose name was on the screen. It read "Rowdy🤠".
