Annika went to Mrs. Kulkarni's cabin early in the morning. At that time barely anyone has reached their class.

"Ma'am, kindly check the footage. I'm not lying." She requested the teacher. Mrs. Verma too was sceptical to hear about the incident. The students of her class were extremely behaved. And upon Annika's constant insistence they decided to check the footage.

They reach up to the principal's office. Annika was quite apprehensive about it but Mrs. Kulkarni assured her that she's in no trouble unless guilty. And upon the teachers' request the principal agreed, they checked the footage.

The students filled in the class. Everything was normal she zoomed in the footage to Shivaay's desk.

He was working on his project alone. Before he left the class suddenly. And a few gathered around to see the project. The teachers watched in shock at such brutal treatment being subjected to a student of their school.

"Mrs. Verma and Mrs. Kulkarni, this is a serious matter. No student of ours should be the one to receive such treatment. Make sure the responsible ones are punished adequately and give the boy another chance for his project." The principal advised the teachers.

"And I'm very proud of you Annika. It takes courage to stand up to what's right." The principal praised giving her an approving smile.

Annika was happy to receive the praise but she couldn't wait to tell him about the news.

He would be happy to hear it.

She reached back her class. She was happy to see that he arrived. It was only them. She happily walked over to his seat. He looked up in surprise when she took the vacant seat beside him.

"Mrs. Kulkarni knows." She whispered.

His eyes widened as he looked at her in shock. Why did she do it, Shivaay thought.
"What do you mean why? It is the right thing to do." She frowned, here she thought he would be happy but here he is asking her questions on why she did. Why wouldn't she? She wasn't one to remain quiet, she did once and she was still guilty of that. In no way, she's going to repeat the same.

He couldn't tell her that the last time he had reported them, he had suffered a worse fate. So, by now he has learnt to let them do whatever they want in this way they are pleased easily and he gets off without much harm.

"You should go." He said as he turned back to the textbook he placed at his desk, opening a random page to ignore her. "Why?" She asked irritated. Why was he so adamant to ignore her.

"I have told you before. If your friends see you here talking to me they'll break their friendship with you." He said urgently.

Annika couldn't grasp why? Why was the reason he was so scared to make friends? She was sure if the class got the chance to know him he would be one of the most popular guys in the school.

"Can't you see I'm reading. Stop disturbing me." He said.

She rolled her eyes at his fake tone.

"Sure you are." She clicked her tongue in annoyance as she looked at the page opened at his textbook. It was the index page. He swiftly turned the page clearing his throat.

"Just believe me on this." He said.

"Well, only on one condition."

"What?" He was surprised, "We'll talk once the school's over, like yesterday." She said.

"Alright" he said.

"Now go." He motioned her away when he heard voices of people talking getting louder.
