Annika looked around. It was four O' Clock in the evening. She sighed. It was way past the lunchtime. She was so immersed in her work that she didn't notice that the lunch got skipped. But the work needed to be finished today; she didn't know how Shivaay managed the long days of work.

Shivaay wasn't in the office. He had gone to attend a conference. She rummaged through the folders placed on the table. Where's the file? The tax files. Annika sighed. Did she misplace them?

'Must be in Shivaay's office.' She thought.
And she walked towards the lift to get the tax files.

Mallika Choudhary walked into the building. She hasn't changed much in the recent years. Though the malice in her eyes was now thoroughly masked when she put on the smile to charm someone.

Finally, she was here to have her dream job. The Oberois. Known for the highest well paying jobs in the country. Raghav however wasn't so lucky. He wasn't brilliant when it came to study and the criminal record on him made him unfit for the jobs in the market. Right now he is handling some retail shops that his father managed for him. Apparently they stuck together after they both got released with the juvenile imprisonment. Their families pulled out some ties and they were out before their sentence was finished even the halfway.

But their names were now tainted of their criminal records. Thankfully, Mallika's father was able to have it hidden when she applied for the job in the company. Consider it her luck that they didn't for go the background check.

She walked into the reception. The intern led her to the cabin where they were to be interviewed. Unfortunately for the intern, he didn't knew that entering the boss cabin in Shivaay's absence was forbidden, it was an unspoken law, with only two people in exception, Mishra and Annika. Once seated she waited for him to arrive.

Mallika frowned, some Mrs. Shukla overviewed her profile. She thought she was to be interviewed by her only. But when she noticed that she was being lead into the main cabin she couldn't hold her glee in. This is even better.

Once seated, she admired the sleek design of the room. Heard that the CEO was very young for his position. If her luck was on her side, she could favour him, after all was there anyone who could resist her charm?

Shivaay swiped through the sheets Mishra had given him. Humming approvingly, Shivaay raised his eyes to the rear view mirror. "Anything else left for the day, Mishra?" He asked as he closed his iPad and turned to the window.

"Yes, sir. This is the last conference. And then job interviews need your approval." Shivaay frowned.

"Didn't Mrs. Shukla manage those?" Mishra shook his head. "Not at those posts. It is your word that we follow." Shivaay nodded exasperated. Why did he have to be such a control freak? He was thinking of taking Annika and Omru for the movies that they have been wanting to watch— well, he has to cancel the plans now.

"What are the names?" Shivaay asked nonchalantly. His eyes trained to the windows. The golden light from the sun was hitting him on the face. He watched the trees, buildings, landscapes the car passed through.

"Mallika Choudhary."

And Shivaay's blood ran cold. His mind turned out the rest of the names spoken by Mishra.

"You killed them."

"She is lying in the hospital because of you."

Snap out of it Shivaay. It's not true. Don't let her get you.

He shook his head clearing out his thoughts.

She in his office.

The person who has tormented him his whole childhood was now waiting for him in the office.
