The Revelation

"I am not getting anything Wadan, what do I do? My mind is totally numb now."

Asfand clenched his hair in a fist and stood up from his place. After knowing such a big truth from Sanam a storm was running inside of him. And it was not dissipating in any way.

That's why today he was at Wadan's place. He perceived that now only Wadan can help him in knowing the actual truth.

"You tell me Wadan either I believe what she just told me or I believe the truth which happened six years back."

He turned towards Wadan while asking him. He already seemed to be engrossed in some deep thought.

His eyes were fixed at some point. While listening to Asfand he kept the train of his thoughts running.

"Wadan, where are you lost? I am asking you something."

Getting irritated by his continuous silence, now Asfand put his hand on his shoulder. On Asfand doing that, as if he came out of the world of his thoughts and ran his hand on his face.

Getting himself prepared he got up from his place and stood right in front of him.

"Whatever Sanam told you is actually true. She is not lying, Asfand."

As he said that, he stopped for a moment and for once glanced at Asfand who was gazing at him with questioning eyes.

Perhaps it was the right time for him to tell the truth to Asfand. Because since the time he came to know that she is actually the Sanam with whom his sister did wrong, he thought at that moment he will tell the actual fact to Asfand.

"In fact, whatever you saw six years ago, it was all lie, and deception which Laraib showed you."

After done with his saying it, he left a long breath in the air. He knew after listening to this truth Asfand will loath him as he kept hidden such a big secret from him.

But now he doesn't want to keep it secret anymore from him. Because Asfand has every right to know how much big deception has happened to him?

Though before six years he fulfilled the responsibility of brother by not letting Asfand be aware of the fact but now he has to fulfill the obligation of being a friend.

Secondly, he did all this for the sake of Aashir and still he was doing all this for Aashir. Because he sensed that for Aashir, Sanam could be a good mother than Laraib.

And now he was telling him the truth to clear his misunderstanding about Sanam which his sister created between them.

"What.... what are you saying this?"

In a state of shock, he was standing looking at him. He thought that maybe Wadan was joking with him but the solemn look on his face was telling him something else.

"It's true Asfand, Sanam is true. She never deceived you. If someone is your culprit then it's Laraib and I am also your culprit for hiding this crime."

Right now he was feeling very guilty for telling him this everything. He deceived his brother like a friend.

"What do you mean Wadan? Tell me clearly what did you keep hidden from me? And how do you know all this?"

This time Asfand was done with his patience. He shouted from his heart out and stood at a distance from him. His eyes were extremely red-shot in controlling his outburst.

Wadan felt pity for him on seeing his condition. He hardly controlled himself and let out a long heavy breath and started telling him everything.

On listening to his every single word Asfand was standing looking with shock and disbelief at a man who he always considers his brother. It wasn't in his imagination that he will do anything like that with him.

Wadan after telling him everything became silent. But after the revelation of everything a storm was now running inside of Asfand.

What not he was reminiscing now.

The tears of Sanam

Her calling him.

And her pleading eyes.

Like a scene of a movie, everything was running in front of his eyes. And because of that, he was not able to speak a word.

A long moment passed in silence between both. One was not saying anything because of the feeling of guilt and the other one was silently standing in the office of Wadan who deceived his brother like a friend.

"I am not feeling that much sad for what Laraib did with me, Wadan because she was blinded in her love. But what about you, before hiding all this from me, you didn't think about me for once? Don't you know how much I loved Sanam?"

After listening to everything from Wadan, Asfand said with deep grief while composing himself. He wasn't expecting this from Wadan that his friend will deceive him. He never thought about it.

"At that time I was forced to do so, Asfand. I was afraid whether you don't punish your child for the mistake of Laraib."

He tried another weak attempt to make him understand his reason. But he knew there was no room for an explanation after what he did.

"Aashir is also my child Wadan. Why would I punish him for the mistake of Laraib?"

Cutting him in between, he instantly said with a strict voice.

"If you told me everything at that time then perhaps circumstances will be something else. But you didn't choose between a brother and sister, but you choose wrong between right and wrong at that time."

With a spot look on his face, he was looking at him. Wadan was greatly hurt by his cold behavior.

"Asfand for once, try to understand me."

As he said that, Wadan moved forward to him. But he stopped him with the gesture of his hand.

"Now nothing is left for making me understand. Wadan I am feeling very sad that I consider you as my brother."

As he said that, he moved towards the door. While Wadan after sensing the contempt in his words and his anger made him stays rooted in his place.

"Your one wrong decision finished everything, Wadan. Everything is gone now."

While Wadan kept on standing for a long time staring at the door. Asfand was right because of his one wrong decision he lost his friend.

And for that, he will regret it for his whole life.
