CHAPTER 2 : A Wierd Coincidence

The next morning , Soojin had a lot of work to do , so as usual she just woke up early , had breakfast , got ready but before she got into her car , she got a message from her dad saying that they have an urgent meeting after 2 hours.

Soojin got into her car , drove to work , and started her day like she usually does. She reached her office , sighing as she saw the pile of files on her desk that needs to be signed and reviewed.

She finished her work and headed to the urgent meeting at her dad's office. Soojin knocked at the door and got in as soon as she got the permission to. "Hi dad , so what is this urgent meeting about." Soojin said as she sat down on the couch infront of her dad's desk.

"Hi honey , yes , about the meeting it's just that we need to change some things in the plan for the new hotel , we have to make some new and sudden changes." Her dad replied smiling. "Sudden changes? but after two days we're starting with the opening ceremony." Soojin asked confused.

"It's just small changes , here are the details and everything you need to know." He said handing her the file. "okay dad I'll get everything done." She said. "Try to finish them today Soojin , we still have a lot of work to do until the opening ceremony." Her dad said. "Yes dad sure I'll handle them to you today." Soojin said as she took the necessary files and left to get her sudden work done.

"I hate when this happens , work work work , isn't there anything else I can do on my own?" Soojin said once she entered her office and closed the door.

It's 9 p.m already and Soojin just finished getting her work done , "come in" her dad said as she knocked and entered his office , "I got it all done." She said handling him the files. "Great , good job sweetheart , you can go now , I still have some work to do." he replied. "okay then , bye dad." "Bye honey."

Soojin left the company and is now driving heading to the sea shore , somewhere where she can clear her mind and get rid of all the stress caused by work. She took off her heels , sat down on the soft sand , and enjoyed the feeling of cool water reaching her feet every now and then.

In fact , everytime she got stressed , depressed , annoyed , tired , or even happy , she just sat there at the shore alone. She likes it this way , having a place to go to everytime things get tough a place filled with harmony and peace away from all the noise and problems. An introvert? Yes , but it much safer this way for her heart and mind as well.

Soojin closed her eyes and raised her head up , taking a deep breath. Opening her eyes and turning her head to the side she saw a shadow. That's wierd , it looks like a tall man. The man looks like he's approaching her way , just to be sure before panicking , she looked behind to see if there's anyone else he's tending to approach , but no she was the only one there , with him.

She tried to see his face but she couldn't due to the darkness. ( I'm done ) she thought before she stood up quickly tending to leave in a hurry. The man seems to be speeding up too. Soojin got terrified as she started to run. Suddenly she tripped over a rock she couldn't see , fell down and hurt her knee.

"What do you want from me!!" she screamed as the man approached her , he didn't say anything. "Get away from me !! What do you want?" she yelled after the man grabbed her foot. He said something but she didn't hear , his voice was low , and she still couldn't see who is it because he was wearing a face mask and putting on the wide hoodie hat all black. No other solution , what could she do except kicking him , and she did , right on his chest.

The man fell down on his back , his hand on his chest because of the pain. He took his hat and face mask off and it was him , Hwang Hyunjin. Soojin looked at him in complete shock as he spoke "Are you out of your mind Soojin?!!" , she said "Hyunjin?? oh my god what are you doing here?"she said yelling at him , Hyunjin said while rolling his eyes "yes I'm fine thank you for asking and don't worry I forgive you"

"Hey! don't blame me! I wasn't the one acting like a freaking kidnapper a while ago! That's what you get from that , you could've just told me at first before acting like a freak!" Soojin said sounding angry , "I was telling you but you didn't hear!!" , "Well yeah if you're going to talk to a startled yelling woman in that low voice of yours she would definitely not hear!" , "Okay I'm sorry you won" he said laughing while still laying on the ground.

Soojin chuckled a bit at the situation , "What are you doing here anyway?" she asked. "I was walking by and when I saw you I wanted to say hello" he answered while getting up and stood infront of her. She just nodded and after a moment of silence she said "I still don't regret what I did tho." Hyunjin started laughing loudly and said "Oh my god the way you looked at me while you were running and screaming".

"You think it's funny huh?" Soojin said in a loud angry voice. Hyunjin was still laughing , she couldn't help but smile after seeing him laugh , his laugh is so sweet. Soojin just kept looking at him while he's still laughing , and he noticed this. Hyunjin stopped laughing and just looked at her smiling , making eye contact. She got lost in his eyes , and charmed by his beauty and handsomeness.

And suddenly Hyunjin got closer to her face and kissed her cheek. Soojin woke up from her thoughts and just stood there frozen , not knowing what to do , she just looked to him in shock with wide eyes. "Okay I'm sorry you're right , it's my fault for scaring you like that." he said. Soojin started blushing hard "It's... it's okay nevermind." she slapped herself mentally for stuttering.

"How about we sit down? if you don't mind my company." he asked , Soojin answered "Yeah sure I don't mind." not daring to look him in the eyes. They sat down together at the shore , "what a coincidence" Soojin said in a low voice Hyunjin could barely hear her. "hmm? what did you say?" he asked , "Nothing , I was just saying it's wierd to meet you here."

"Nothing wierd about it , what's meant to happen will happen , even if not , I will do whatever it takes to make it happen." his expression suddenly becoming serious while staring into Soojin's eyes. "What do you mean?" Soojin asked not being able to fathom what he meant , "I just meant that when I was walking alone , I wanted company , and I thought about you because I think we'll get along really good together and here we are." he said smiling gently.

Soojin felt something wierd but just let it pass with a smile. "You barely know me." she said , "Yeah but I want to know you better , you know become friends and know each other more , if you want to of course , I just have a feeling that we will click well together." Hyunjin said giving her a wide smile .

She couldn't say no , looking at his eyes , she feels like she wants to know him better , she had a feeling that she's safe and happy with his company and she wants to know why does he make her feel like that when she's with him. She's feeling like time stops when she looks at his eyes , she feels like she'll forever be safe in his presence in her life.

"Okay , I don't mind." she said giving him a genuine smile. Hyunjin smiled at her and then both of them just spent the night talking , watching the stars , listening to the relaxing sound of water and enjoying the cool water on their feet until it was time for them to leave. It was getting late and both of them had work early the next day.

Hyunjin offered to drive the lady home , but she insisted on going alone since she had her car."Okay then , thank you Soojin for making this night an unforgettable memory for me , it's nice to have a friend like you." Hyunjin said taking her hand and caressing the back of it slowly with his thumb. "Thank you for your nice company Hyunjin." Soojin said smiling with light red blush decorating her cheeks.

"Wait." Hyunjin said walking towards her after Soojin turned around to leave , "can I have your number?" he asked , "yes sure." Soojin said. They exchanged numbers and Soojin is heading to her car , "Text me when you arrive home , so I don't get worried and be careful." Hyunjin said smiling warmly.

"Okay I will." Soojin said smiling widely , got into her car and left while waving to her new friend who waved back. After arriving home and getting to her room , the first thing Soojin did was texting Hyunjin , she didn't want him to be worried right?

~Hi Hyunjin it's me Soojin ,
I just arrived home so you know.~

A minute later she got a message notification and she knew it was him.

~Hello Soojin , I was waiting for
your message. : )

She just sent a smiling emoji and he sent one before putting her phone on the charger , changing her clothes and getting ready to sleep.
