CHAPTER 5 : Worried About You

Soojin entered her home and headed to the room where she'll be having lunch with her parents. She greeted her parents and sat on the table with them. The lunch went smoothly with every family member talking about how their day went so far , surely not passing without the parents teasing their daughter about her guy best friend.

"He's really a great guy Soojin." Mr Jinho , her father , said smiling at his daughter. Soojin looked at her father feeling confused not knowing what to respond with for this statement she's been hearing ever since they met.

"Yes dad , he is a great friend indeed." Soojin said , making her thoughts about Hyunjin very clear to her parents. Tho she smiles every time he came across her mind , just like she did now , remembering what happened today , how they spent a wonderful time together , how he looked worried sick about her , what he said , and how he takes care of her.

"A friend? Soojin you know you won't be able to find someone who is just as a perfect match for you." Her mom said. "Anyways , no one knows what will happen in the future , what's meant to be will always find a way." Soojin replied to her mom smiling , trying to reassure and convince her that what's meant to happen will happen , and no need to rush things. Which her mom understood her thinking and agreed with her.

The lunch was over and the family members parted ways , for each one to finish his tasks and do what they planned to do. Where Mr Jinho went to continue his business related work , ans Mrs Eunji left with her daughter Soojin to go shopping.

Soojin and her mom were in the car , telling the driver where to head next. Soojin checked her phone to see if there's any message from Hyunjin , she had texted him before she left with her mom which was 2 hours ago , but the message wasn't seen by him yet.

That's wierd , it's not Hyunjin's habit to be late in responding or reading my messages, he didn't even see it yet. Nevermind maybe he's busy stop thinking too much Soojin. Soojin thought to herself while shaking her head slightly to wash away her thoughts that are messing with her mind.

Is she making a big deal out of it? Why is she getting worried so suddenly , nothing happened maybe he's busy with work , or any other important stuff , she's not his girlfriend after all , she's just his close friend . Yeah , just a friend.

Soojin couldn't help herself from getting that bad feeling. She was worried. Knowing that it's not her guy best friend's habit to be late that much in replying to her. Something didn't seem right to her. Should I just call him? Soojin stared at her phone for while , looking at the call button upright the chat screen. Then she just turned off her phone , deciding to wait a bit more.

She didn't want to seem like an attention seeker , nor did she want to bother him. She decided to forget about it , and when he's free he'll text her , so that she gets to enjoy the rest of her day without having that terrible feeling that would lead her to lose her mind eventually. He's fine after all. If anything bad happened he would tell her right away , there's certainly nothing to worry about.

Soojin and her mother spent the rest of their day nicely , shopping for clothes , jewelry , and other stuff they wanted to buy. Now they're sitting at a restaurant , wanting to have something fresh , after shopping for a long time. So they both ordered fresh orange juice.

5 hours passed already , they shopped a lot and visited almost every single luxurious shop in the city. Soojin on the other hand , couldn't enjoy her day to the fullest. She still felt a little bit bothered and that bad feeling in her heart couldn't leave her alone.

She checked her phone this time , hoping that everything she was thinking was just overreacting. And again , there was nothing. Where are you Hyunjin? She thought to herself starting to get really sad.
