CHAPTER 10 : The Hidden Truth

Hyunjin gathered with his parents in his dad's office at the mansion , he needed to explain a lot to them especially that his dad knew that his son was kidnapped. Both of his parents were dead concerned , they couldn't help but think of the worst things that might happen to their son when he was kidnapped.

They felt like worry was eating them alive and ripping their heart out , he's their only son after all , and they loved him unconditionally. So of course they wanted the full explanation of what happened , how it happened , and what is their son planning to do about it.

Hyunjin told them the full story , how he was tricked in an awful way by his close friend , and how they freed him. It was confusing for him how they managed to release him that fast , but all his concerns disappeared once his dad told him the rest , after getting a look of agreement from his wife. After all , his son needs to know.

{Flashback to when Hyunjin was still kidnapped}

Mr. Jihoo was in his office pacing back and forth , feeling angry , worried and annoyed all at the same time , he was worried about his son , angry about what he doesn't know might happen , and annoyed at the thought of someone harming his son or daring to lay a hand on him.

The police can't do anything yet since his son hasn't been missing for 24 hours yet , so he decided to do something before something happens to his son because he won't be able to forgive himself for not interfering and saving his only son.

His heart was telling him that his son needs him , he felt like he needed to do something as fast as possible before worry and maybe regret kill him. He quickly grabbed his phone and dialed a number.

It took only 2 seconds for the guy on the other side of the phone answered , he sure doesn't want to make his boss mad , he's been working for him since a long time and he would never betray nor refuse to help him. " At your service Mr. Hwang." Is what he responded with.

"I need you to find me my son Hugo, no matter what it costs I need to know where he is , I feel like something isn't right and we need to interfere immediately." Mr. Jihoo spoke in coldness , sounding irritated.

"Yes sir , I will do whatever it takes to find your son." The guy named Hugo replied. "Take the others with you , make sure to search every corner , I want this mission to be done in the shadows like always." Hyunjin's father warned , then immediately hung up the phone after the other agreed.

He put his phone back on his office table , after sitting on the chair , getting some business done. Both the son and the father , have a job in common it seems. Each one leads a mafia gang of their own which serves for good and they built their own empire in the underworld.

After some time , someone knocked on his door , and he guessed it was his wife. He immediately got up and opened the door by himself , and he was right , he was met with the eyes of the love of his life. She didn't look fine , teary eyes , worried expression and tiredness was written all over her face.

Jihoo smiled softly to his wife , "come in , honey." He said. His wife , Mrs Miyeon came in silently. He closed the door and followed his wife to the couch she sat on. He reached his hand to hold his wife's hand which was on her lap. She smiled weakly and held her husband's hand back.

"Don't worry my love , he'll be okay , I already sent someone to look for him , but we need to stay strong to be able to help him." He said as he caressed his wife's hand with his thumb. Mrs Miyeon nodded and hummed in response as tears started to flow down her cheeks.

Mr. Jihoo hugged his wife as she leaned her head on his chest , "shhh , it's okay let it all out." He said as he patted her back with his hand , and with the other he caressed her hair.
