Taylors POV:

This was it—the final game. And it was in overtime too. As the teams set up for the next play, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was the last game of the season. But I didn't want it to end.

All the memories, victories, after-parties, and more would soon fade away until the next football season rolled around.

Sitting there in the suite next to all my friends—Ice Spice, Blake Lively, Keligh Teller, Ashley, and even Lana for god's sake—it all felt surreal.

When Mecole Hardman scored the game-winning touchdown, the stadium erupted in cheers. Everyone was screaming with excitement. But in the corner of my eye, I saw Lana fall to the ground and Miles getting punched.

"Where's my mom?" I shouted out, eager to celebrate the win with her.Scanning the crowd of family and friends, I finally spotted her. I quickly made my way over to her.

"Mom!" I exclaimed, wrapping her in a tight embrace and resting my head on her shoulder.

She didn't say a word as she hugged me back, swaying gently. A small smile played on my lips as I pulled away, still beaming with happiness. Then, Donna tapped me on the shoulder, and my smile grew wider. I knew what this meant.

It was time to see him.

"We gotta get going, Taylor, if we want to see him," Donna said coolly, her experience evident from the way she handled the situation.

Practically a pro at this point, considering she had done it at least three times before, she nodded quickly as my security team gathered around us.

"I'll see you guys soon, okay?" I said, turning toward my parents. They simply nodded as we headed down to the field.

...

"Come here, baby girl!" Travis beamed, pulling me into a tight hug and pressing his lips against mine in a warm embrace.

His large hands rested on the small of my back as we kissed, and when we pulled away, I could see a light in his eyes—the kind that only appears when he's truly happy. We swayed back and forth, comfortable and content in each other's arms as confetti rained down onto the field.

"Thank you for coming, baby," he said, still radiating happiness from the big win.

"I can't believe you did that," I replied, holding him closer.

"Thank you," he added.

"Oh, I can't believe you!" I exclaimed.

"Thank you for the support," he added again.

"How did you do that?" I asked, still in awe of their victory.

They had played against a really tough team and managed to beat them in overtime. It must have been a challenging game for him and all the players. Yet, against all odds, they emerged victorious.

"Thank you for coming and thank you for making it halfway across the world," he said, hugging me tighter.

"You're the best, baby, the absolute best," he noted, his voice filled with gratitude.

"Oh my god," I muttered, overwhelmed by his words.

"Was it electric?" he asked.

"It was unbelievable," I replied, lightly kissing him on the lips.

Cameras may have been watching, but it didn't matter. He was mine, and I was proud to show him off. Pulling away, he continued to gaze down at me with those mesmerizing green-hazel eyes. I had fallen hard for him—some might say I was "down bad." But regardless of what others thought, it was all worth it for this moment in time.

With all the interactions, kisses, and hugs we'd shared, this small chat in front of millions of people watching was already one of my favorites.

"long live, the walls we crashed through, i had the time of my life with you."
