As I woke up, the familiar ache of cramps washed over me, casting a shadow over the morning light streaming through the window. Groaning softly, I shifted in bed, trying to find a comfortable position amidst the discomfort. Travis, sensing my distress, wrapped his arms around me, his touch offering both warmth and reassurance.

"Tay, you good?" His voice was gentle, filled with concern as he nuzzled closer.

I mustered a weak response, my voice tinged with discomfort. "No, I'm not. I have a cramp." Travis's brows furrowed in sympathy.

"Oh, baby," he murmured, his hand instinctively starting to rub soothing circles on my back.

But then, as if struck by a sudden realization, he sat up abruptly.

"I'll go get you a heating pad," he announced, his voice carrying a sense of urgency.

I shook my head, attempting to refuse his offer.

"No, no, I don't need it," I protested, though the relief it might bring was already tempting.

Travis saw through my feeble attempt at stoicism and chuckled softly.

"I'll be right back," he said, his eyes full of determination as he headed downstairs.

Left alone with my discomfort, I curled up into a tight ball, willing the pain to subside. Minutes ticked by slowly until Travis returned, his arms laden with a plethora of items. Chocolates, a heating pad, a bottle of water, Advil, a bouquet of fresh flowers, a new blanket, and even a cute cat stuffed animal adorned the bed beside me.

"Oh my gosh, Travis, you didn't," I gasped, my heart swelling with gratitude as I took in the thoughtful gesture.

"I just went to Walmart when I found out the heating pad broke," he explained with a sheepish

grin, though his eyes gleamed with mischief.

Overwhelmed by his kindness, I whispered a heartfelt "Thank you," before enveloping him in a tight hug.

With delicate care, Travis propped up my head with soft pillows, cocooning me in warmth by draping the extra blanket over me. He plugged in the heating pad and clicked on the TV, knowing Grey's Anatomy was my go-to comfort show.

As the familiar theme music filled the room, Travis settled in beside me, his presence a comforting anchor amidst the storm of discomfort. I couldn't help but marvel at his unwavering support, feeling incredibly fortunate to have him by my side.
