Travis's POV

"Trav, come on, stop fussing, it's just my friends coming over!" Taylor reassured, trying to calm her boyfriend's nerves.

"But they've been with you for longer than anyone! What if they hate me?" I replied, still pacing back and forth.

The doorbell rang, followed by a chorus of giggles from outside.

"They won't hate you! They're just going to be... judging you," Taylor said with a grin, quickly pecking me on the cheek before rushing to answer the door.

Taking a few deep breaths, I followed her to the door, where she was happily greeting all her friends and enveloping them in hugs.

I waved and smiled at them as they entered, finding seats on the couch. Despite my nerves, their warm greetings and Taylor's reassuring presence helped ease my anxiety.

"Taylor, introduce us to the guy you can't shut up about!" Someone teased, pointing in my direction.

Taylor suppressed a laugh. "Fine, Cara. This is Travis, and Travis, that's Cara. You already know Keleigh, and Blake, and those the Haim sisters, Selena, Lana, Ashley, Gigi, and Abigail."

"Hello!" I waved shyly, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of Taylor's friends.

"Let's watch a movie!" Ashley suggested.

"Ooh, do you want me to get you guys snacks or order pizza?" I offered, sitting up.

"Could you order pizza, Trav?" Taylor asked.

"Of course! I'll also make some popcorn and see if we have any movie snacks," I replied, then hurried off to the kitchen. I ordered two large pizzas and popped some popcorn, rummaging through the pantry for extra candy. Returning to the living room, I found my spot on the couch taken by Abigail.

"Pizza will be here in 10," I informed them, settling on the floor.

"Sit next to me, I'll get Abi out," Taylor insisted, and Abi shot me a shocked and betrayed look.

"No, no, it's fine. The floor is comfortable. You haven't seen your friends in ages," I replied, softly smiling at Abi.

"Hmph," Taylor grumbled, sliding onto the floor beside me and resting her head in my lap.

"Aww, Taylor is in love! I should've known at the Super Bowl," Lana remarked.

"Wait, you went to the Super Bowl?" Gigi asked, surprised.

"I was rooting for the Niners," Lana replied, "then changed my mind once Taylor dragged me up there."

"Like how she dragged you up there at the Grammys?" Sabrina chimed in, chuckling.

"I did not drag her. The internet made it seem like I grabbed Lana by the hair and punched Celine in the face," Taylor defended herself.

"It was horrid! She was asked not to hug Celine, and the internet went mad!" Lana said, putting on a posh accent.

I listened carefully to their bickering as the topic switched to what movie to watch.

A ring of the doorbell interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh, the pizza's here. I'll get it—" I started to say, standing up, but Taylor pulled me back down.

"No," she said firmly. "Blake can get it." Blake looked appalled but went to get the pizza anyway.

II sighed as Blake set the pizza down, and we settled on watching "Hamilton."

When the song "Non-Stop" came on, a bunch of Taylor's friends looked at her, who was currently half asleep in my lap, stuffing popcorn in her face.

"Taylor, this song is about you!" Selena said, chuckling.

"No, because I write songs too and don't understand," Lana added.

"Same, like, how do you write so much?" Sabrina said.

Taylor shrugged. "Not sure."

In the next few moments, she fell asleep in my lap.

"Oh my god, she's asleep. She never sleeps," Selena commented.

"Dang, she sleeps? I thought she was a werewolf," Gigi joked.

"She sleeps... has she not slept before?" I asked, dumbfounded. They all exchanged glances.

"We swore we never saw her sleep. She wakes up and writes," Blake said, adding as an afterthought, "She's called me, like, breaking down at 3 am."

"I assume she never slept because of how much work she does," Keleigh added.

"Weird, she sleeps and doesn't wake up until like 8."

"She must love you, then," Keleigh said.

"That means we have to approve him," Cara added.

"We've never done that!" Gigi chimed in.

"I'm right here," I said.

"Yeah, yeah, sorry," Ashley said to me, and then we turned our attention back to the movie.

Taylor awoke again to the noise, rubbing her eyes.

"Shit, did I fall asleep?" she asked, and we all nodded.

"Sorry, he's like a teddy bear," Taylor said, snuggling back into me, and the group erupted into laughter.

"Don't mess this up, Travis. She likes you," Abigail whispered in my ear. I nodded quickly.

As the final notes of "Hamilton" faded into the air, the room fell quiet, the echoes of the powerful performance still lingering in our minds. The soft glow of the TV screen illuminated the dimly lit room, casting a warm ambiance over us as Taylor's friends bid their farewells and left one by one, their laughter and chatter slowly receding into the night.

We settled into bed together and I could feel the rhythm of Taylor's breathing against my chest, steady and calming, as if each exhale carried away the remnants of the day's excitement. The warmth of her body pressed against mine created a cocoon of contentment, shielding us from the outside world and drawing us closer together in the comfort of our shared solitude.

"I like your friends," I whispered in her hair, pressing a tender kiss to the top of her head, savoring the softness of her hair against my lips.

"I'm glad you do"

"Cat got my tongue

And I don't think I get along with anyone
Blood running cold
I'm on the outside of the greatest inside joke"
